    Looks great! I also built out a 1542. One thing id recommend: i got a baking pan the perfect size for my troller pedal to fit in and i framed it in so itd be flush with the deck. I find its very helpful on the 1542 because it allows you to keep even weight on your legs and keep better balance since its not the most stable boat in the world

    Good looking boat! In the middle of a 1436 build myself, a 1542 would have been a sweet platform! Must fly with that 25.

      Thanks! I think the fastest I’ve gone is close to 30 MPH. Most of the time I’m around 26-27. That’s plenty fast enough for me

    Instead of aluminum (bty, great job), although yours is better, we may seal and paint l 2 x 2s and 2x4's which should last quite a while. Very nice boat. Very thorough and well planned. Congrats!

    Nice boat build. I have a tricked out tracker 1542 as well it's a great shallow water bass boat. The way I have mine set up I can run in as little as 6 inches of water.

    Nice build. I have your little brother Topper 1436, when I grow up I'd like to be a 1542. I have 2 questions; 1) Does your outboard get in the way of side scan and 2) Is 46 lb. thrust trolling motor enough?

    Man that boat looks sweet! I want one but not the 13 and 15 year financing deals they want to lock you up with nowadays! So I am in the process of finding a decent size aluminum boat and go from there!

      Thanks! The back deck I just attached the plywood deck directly to the factory bench seat. On the back corners my boat came with factory installed boxes so I just had to build those up a little bit with wood to make them flush with the decking I installed over the top of the bench seat. Hope that makes sense!

      @@juicejonesfishing6030 10-4 makes perfect since I mine is a 1436 so it’s got a trassom mount thing so it helps support it and I don’t got room for my gas tank😂. So I think I am going to cut one box out and buy a hatch for the tank. But thanks man

    Dude, I live in the same county, I just purchased a 1448 boat, and I really would like to meet with you and pick up some pointers on how you framed the decks in your boat, I am planning to use aluminum framing to keep the weight down, but I have never done it before, any help would really be appreciated, if you can reply, I will forward my email so we can plan a meet somewhere in Bonaire, hoping to hear from you soon !!!

    • @juicejonesfishing6030
      @juicejonesfishing6030  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would estimate I put in about $1000-$1200 total. However, this was back in 2019 when lumber prices were much lower
