You are the 1st modern astrologer among many that I have studied Horary from via various sources that says you cast the chart from time and place of astrologers' receiving the question. KUDO TO YOU. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. PS. Your office is so soul soothing. Well decorated.

@@Adam-Elenbaas A lot. From astro bloggers to astro book authors. I really want to face palm reading it. And many still use Uranus to Pluto. I guess they just invent their own rules regardless of ancient rules.

@@jomontanee interesting! I've never heard an experienced astrologer say they only cast a chart for the querants location, (except for twice today).. and I literally know a few hundred professional astrologers. (I am a conference corrdinator) The first time this came up today was while reading a book from 1998 on Horary that a client gave me.
The author postulated to use the midpoint between the astrologer and the querant, based on their corrdinates.
I was taking a horary course from a well known classical astrologer and asked her about Neptune and Pluto. Her relply was: "They are there, they just do not have dignity" -- hope this helps you! 💫💫

0:16 I think we can conclude, from the evidence of Dorotheus Book V (1st century CE), which mixes questions and inceptions, that horary, "the astrology of questions" is actually quite old.

Have you done a reading on
    Summer Moon Utah Wells ?
    If so, link?
She's been missing from rogersville Tennessee since June 15 2021
She was 5 years old when she disappeared
    No one can find her
No new news on her in almost 3 years
I've done some astrology on her, I believe she's near Patrick Henry Dam in Kingsport Tennessee based on my astrology readings but im not an expert, so just curious

How is Jupiter getting in the way? Isn’t mercury moving towards a conjunction with mars?

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Mercury is separating from a sextile to Mars, no conjunction coming...so the opportunity has passed. Jupiter thus represents someone else that the Job, Mercury, is going to. These are all part of the technical rules of horary. Come study them. You'll love it! :) Its an amazing form of astrology, and very old!!

Great Video....I am assuming that Horary only uses the 7 traditional planets by the looks of the chart. Do you ever incorporate the outer planets? Also, there is no tie in with the persons’ natal chart correct? I find this extremely intriguing. Studying astrology for about 2 yrs and have recently started to learn about traditional...would love to take the class but I need to really commit to memory some areas more...still looking some things up.... hopefully you’ll have another class next year......appreciate your perspectiv, demeanor, and your honesty. Also listened to your past interview with Chris Brennan on predictive astrology... great podcast....thanks again for the service you provide!!!

You can use the outer planets, as well. I sometimes include them, yes. Sometimes the natal chart can be relevant, though it's usually not necessary. :) Thanks for watching!!

I struggle with the outer planets because 6 months ago I had an accident in which I fell and broke my shoulder and a Mars Uranus Quincux happened at that time..same aspect when Christopher Reeves had his accident.... so I wonder if there is an validity to the outer planets or could it have been that Saturn was teaching me a lesson since it replaced Uranus in Modern astrology.... just curious... thanks for any feedback

@@susanw2872 there is probably a simpler explanation than a quincunx. It's my opinion that a whole lot of modern astrology makes things far more complicated than they need to be. Just my opinion!

Nice vid, however the one thing with horary thats seems highly problematic imo, and your example maybe illustrates it quite well. - in connection to prohibition. The texts seem to vary very much on this. I am aware that with Frawley method any aspect contact moon makes would constitute a prohibition. Yet other texts may be more allowing of a conjunction to benefic venus for example - considering it merely some interference that while doesnt necessarily deny, shows some delay perhaps or bumpy road, before the matter coming to conclusion. And so granted a square to malefic Saturn will most certainly deny - more than likely, but for example a conjunction to venus - then seems to become more arbitrary - i.e. that may or may not deny the perfection? I guess if we are to follow the Frawley way that any other contact denies - then makes things easier, yet still what are we to make of these other mindsets, that are more allowing of other contact? - for example a text i read by karen zondag , which is very excellent too i would say, but she says that a prohibition only occurs when there is a tense aspect to the third planet, so again we see - more allowing on things. Well anyway in general this is what i hate about horary, i would love it more fully only for this issue. seems then too arbitrary to make a total exact total full accurate judgement. hmmm.

I hear you. I see astrology as a form of divination, and so I believe that one becomes entrained to their teacher and to the methods they use in order to become a successful judge of charts. In my experience, there isn't just one correct approach to horary or judging a chart. However, it's important to separate static from signal if one is going to become an accurate horary reader, and for me, this involves finding the teachers and right methods and then sticking to them. That doesn't mean that these craft points you bring up aren't worthy of debate, but I really don't think there is one perfect horary method or set of rules. So, because I've studied with Frawley I simply use his rules and methods, along with those points from Lily that he has emphasized because I have found it most simple, effective, and eloquent. I've also taken several other horary courses, so it's not as though I am unfamiliar with the variety of craft point that exist out there and that I haven't thought through them. I've just landed on the Frawley station, you might say (along with a few other subtler influences). :) My advice to you, if you want any, would be not to let all these debates get in your head but to find the teachers or practitioners whose judgments you find to be very moving...tune into them and then the methods in some ways fall into place and the debates about them become less distracting. This is just my opinion, obviously. Thanks for your comments!
