    We shouldn't forget the Akaviri had far more exposure to dragons than the tamrielic people. So yeah, them knowing Thu'um and using it to control the weather doesn't seem unlikely at all.

      Does make you wonder how and if Daedra influnce Akavir in some way. From what it sounds like every race from that part of the world are battle hardened beasts (Literally and figuratively) that really makes a lot of the Tamerialic Races seem infantile. Between the snow beasts of the Kamal, the serperent-like Tsacesi that may or may not literally ate all of the men that were there (As well as the dragons). The Ka-po-Tun and one of their leaders some how transcended into an actual Dragon that has aims to venture to Tamerial once they deal with their enemies.
      All these forces and factors could be exploited by the likes of Daedra Princes. Like I'm sure at least Molag Bal would consider exploiting atleast some of this violent and conquest-minded forces. The mad Monkies the Tang-Mo while great fighters if they really are as mad as the claims present them good ol Sheo could have some fun with those guys.

    • @DigitalApex
      @DigitalApex 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm pretty sure the Daedra invasion only affected Tamriel, not all of Nirn. Because the Amulet of Kings and the Dragonfires only really applied to Tamriel, not the surrounding areas. I'd also imagine the Thalmor from the Summerset Isles would've had more reports written about it.
      But even if Akavir was invaded by Dagon, I'd imagine it was very short-lived. The Daedra were routed by hist-sapped-up Argonians in Blackmarsh early into the invasion. I can only begin to imagine how poorly the Daedra would have fared against literally any race from Akavir.

I had trouble understanding some things before I watched this but with the map system you use showing the expansion and changes in land and territories is awesome and cleared so much up. I actually feel like I understand the invasion a bit better. Akavir is one of my favorite pieces of elder scrolls lore, it is so alien and mysterious and has crazy cool conflicts and unknown races. I really hope the next main game or another game in the series touches on this or makes Akavir a part of the story or even just a villain that is a Tsaesci or a million other ideas and story/lore possibilities with this beautiful piece of awesomeness.

    Knowing one's climate and weather patterns is a good advantage in defense against a foreign invading force is one thing, but being able to alter it to one's favor and plan around it. It would really make the Tsacesi quite the force to be reckoned with, I wouldn't be surprised they have that, who knows what practices they have that could make Tameriel's head spin in comparison.

    Given the name of the continent and thousands of years exposure to dragon cultures, it’s not far fetched the Tsaesci and other people have more advanced magical abilities; enough to change weather at will to hinder Imperial’s ability to supply their overseas forces. Crucial example is a Dragonborn having the Clear skies and Storm call Thu’um. Their ability to randomly change weather patterns between Tamirel and Akavir might be the reason no know knows about it and loved tales about it.

Plus remember this is ONLY the first people/nation on Akavir...Snow Demons, Giant Tigers lead by a Dragon, A shit load of monkey people on islands are what waited next. The Imperials couldn't of prepared for that. The Snow Demons and Tiger would crush the legions in an open field battle then the dragon would burn them from above and the monkeys would fuck them up guerrilla style that we see they had trouble dealing with already from the snakes.

    If the original draft of Skyrim, with Uriel Septim V came back from Akavir to take over the empire with an army of dragons ended up being used. I think he would have been left for dead simply put, he was wounded or unconcious & laid low for a while. Once he regained his senses he ran and hid from the Tsaeci, until he found the land of the Ka Po' Tun. In that land he was able to strike a deal with the tiger-dragon people leader. According to the book Mysterious Akavir, their leader Tosh Raka was the first to be able to turn into a dragon. With time I think a lot of soldiers would be able to do it aswell. My headcannon is that those dragons were supposed to be Ka Po' Tun soldiers who are able to turn into dragons. I also like to think that the Nerevarine also is in service of the Ka Po' Tun leader, but that's a story for another time.

    • @yannbretel3343
      @yannbretel3343 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question, actually. Probably yes, because it would seem logical for the Daedra to attack all of Nirn. The daedra hate Mundus entirely, not just Tamriel ( I think they attack Mundus because they're jealous of the Gods that made it, but since there is life on Nirn only, they attack only it ). So I think they have attacked Akavir, but its people manage to repell the invasion far more easily. But since we have no informations on this subject, so I can't really argue on it. Hope we'll have informations on it.

    The dominion will definitely be trying to take skyrim, an argonia will be trying to take morrowind for tes 6 is what I predict

    • @flamesofchaos13

      Why would the Dominion care about taking over Skyrim there's nothing to gain at all! At best they'll simply sack it destroy the rebels and the belief in Talos then go back to Alinor. The Argonians have zero interest in conquering Morrowind or any lands outside Argonia they simply attacked before for revenge against the Dunmer for hundreds of years of slavery. Also they were under the leadership of a xenophobic-nationalist group back then who's no longer in charge...We even know the Argonians are no longer political enemies of the Dunmer you even have orphaned Dunmer children who were raised by Ex-Argonian soldiers after the war. The tensions are over they have no reason to invade or conquer Morrowind again.
      Here's my guess on conflicts that could happen....
      Hammerfell Vs Aldmeri Dominion, Hammerfell Civil War (Political Schisms), High Rock Civil War (Rebellion against the Empire to become Independent, Or a Regime change by an High Rock Nobility Warlord becoming a New Emperor dividing the Empire in half), The Great War 2 (Two Empire's one Imperial Vs the other Breton Vs Aldmeri Dominion Vs Morrowind Great House Redoran/Sadras Vs Hammerfell). We could even possibly see a Civil War in Alinor between the Thalmor Vs Altmer/Bosmer Royalty Vs Psijic Order. Then of course an Akaviri Invasion is always on the table and a Daedric threat too.

      @@chaningdodson4245 In Skyrim they again remind us the Tiger-Dragons long term plans are to take out the Vampire-Snakes then Invade Tamriel. So yeah nope it's coming the only question is when? I could easily also see the Second Great War changing the entirety of Tamriel Politics and for Jyggalag being a Daedric Prince with territorial gains in mind. Anyway the conflicts of Hammerfell Vs Dominion and Empire Vs Dominion are definitely coming if nothing else.

      @@flamesofchaos13 that's why I say they will try an take skyrim, an push the empire back to the imperial city. Especially with the imporor having been assassinated by the dark brotherhood, an if we do see the tiger people all hell will break loose over the rumors of one of them having been able to transform into a fucking dragon

    • @KraNisOG
      @KraNisOG 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The dominion is weaker than it was than in the first great war, meanwhile the empire is not only stronger, but more prepared. Also it is canon that the Imperials win (if you pick the storm cloaks then Skyrim just gets invaded by an actual legion after the avalanche is cleared.) So Skyrim being invaded by anyone is a very low chance, espec since the Dominon is not where near it. If anything a cold war will happen and it may be like SWTOR where you can choose a side but no true victor occurs because the outer invaders come through and they unite.

    I love Elderscrolls lore and I love Akavir but the trope of "Mysterious Distant Lands That Always Invade and Barely Lose Anything, Meanwhile We Are Steamrolled No Matter What We Do Because Mysterious Distant Lands Are Just So Mysterious and Deadly" Is possibly the least fun or intriguing trope I've ever seen. The Kamal fucked up Northern Tamriel heavily and the Saesci only stopped because Dragonborn Emporer Reman Cyrodiil showed up. It's so boring learning about how hopeless it is for Tamriel to really do anything to or about Akavir. Akaviri kingdoms invade = Tamriel gets fucked. Tamriel invade = Tamriel gets fucked. I think Akavir would have so much more appeal to me if Bethesda had Uriel Septim V come back as the one returning dragons to Tamriel from Akavir instead of Alduin.
    TL;DR: Akavir is boringly overpowered because it's MysteriousTM and I don't like it
