I have to agree comparing a hybrid with performance cars is just plain ridiculous even if they are very close in the size. Might as well have thrown a BMW and a Mercedes sedans in this mix as well so the luxury class is covered as well.
Camry is a good car, but it’s very bland, and the bulk of its sales are to Government Departments, Councils and Fleet buyers. The general public / private buyers are much more likely to spend their own $$$ on the Stinger or Superb, in lieu of an SUV. As an overall package with practically and space for a family, the Superb offers more then a Stinger. As a fast and sporty sedan, the Stinger wins. Buy what u like that suits ur needs and ur budget.
I stopped listening to the Caradvice guys about a year ago when they became indistinguishable from Drive. Lost all character and je ne sai quois once they were borged into the Nine machine. This video just goes to show how banal and boring they still are. The Stinger and Superb are different but both quirky and interesting in their own ways. The Camry just says that you are tired of life and would prefer the peaceful grey hum of death.
The hybrid has an electric motor combined with a combustion engine at take off the electric motor is assisting the combustion engine this inturn makes it quicker at takeoff
Me’s think the CarAdvice folk have spent WAY to much time in quarantine and have lost connection to reality. If you want an extremely boring car, and your budget only allows for a “budget” car. Then go for it, I think I will stick to my Stinger, two years later it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Other than that the entire review lacked any real technical and worthy information.
The worst thing about my Stinger is having to park it and get out of it. I could drive it all day and never get sick of it. Stunning car for the money when compared to an equivalent German specced similar.
I miss the old days of a 380 vs Commodore vs Falcon. Cars aren't the same since local production ceased. Still can't go back, except when I open my garage.
I disagree with your verdict the interiors of the skoda and the stinger are far more exciting pleasing easier on the eyes than the camera the looks of the stinger is much bolder and if you are contemplating purchasing a crossover or SUV style and presents will play a very important factor

If you want an appliance on wheels or go uber driving then yes....but I’m pretty sure ANYONE with the tinniest of engineering/mechanical bent or the slightest interest in driving would see it for what it is...A to B transport and nothing more. He’s I’ve owned one, and yea she’s a big comfortable lass...but it is nothing more than transport. Stinger the drivers car, Skoda the thinking family mans car, please leave the Camry for rental companies and taxis.

Ian, completely agree with you. Stinger is easily the best bang for bucks, value for money car on the road. Quality is excellent, standard equipment is fantastic and then there is the wow factor. I love mine and it is easily the best car I have ever owned and I have had some rippers.
If how many looks you get is your main concern than the Stinger is your thing. If on the other hand you want a big comfortable car which drives beautifully, has a huge boot, holds its resale value better than most cars and gets 800km range to a 50 litre tank then the Stinger doesn’t even come close.
Lol all the haters underestimating the humble camry which is more than capable enough to compete in this segment, when you actually get behind the wheel it's got heaps of punch more than you'd think.
The Kia Stinger's interior is a fake lower quality mixture of a Mercedes C Class and BMW interior, with an Audi-esque gear lever. The exterior is a fake mixture of Maserati and BMW. Disgusting unapologetic styling which tries to look cool by copying instead of being original. They also use the ex BMW M boss to tune it and Hyundai N cars. However, out of the 3 vehicles here it's probably the best as it's actually RWD.

I have a 2020 Camry...it's massive....it's almost as long as a S-Class.

The Stinger doesnt fit here at all. Its competitors are g70, bmw3 and a5. Odd comparison
