    The 3 point rock rake looks pretty handy for combing the area & the rock bucket looks pretty handy for sifting through the dirt pile. Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate both. Thanks for the ride alongs. Stay safe.

    Make different size classifier for the rock bucket. With proper size screens from course to very fine.
    So you can have practically no rocks.
    And also you never know if you have any precious metals.

    Interesting, for me rake worked better - faster and more efficient. However, I wonder if You can You use this rock bucket with a smaller kubota tractor like b series?

    Interesting video young man. I think the rock bucket is better suited to sorting rocks/stones from a pile of soil rather than in a field. However, it is still better than doing it by hand!

      DeHaven Family Farm - Andy Detwilar is who turned me onto the DJI OSMO Action. He uses some GoPro cameras, but if you look you will see the OSMO, usually in his shirt pocket. Wind noise reduction is excellent compared to my iPhone.

    Our 3.5 acres are very stony. I bought a rock collector which is a cross between your two bits of kit. It is pulled behind my L3540It suffers from being poor if there is much sod present. what it does have is a dual grid which essentially is a second grid at the same spacing as the main grid but is arranged to fit in between the the bars of the main thus reducing the spacing by half.

    Thank you for making this. I think I need a rock rake for our 5 acres we're building a house on. There's all these smaller rocks everywhere (I call them "ankle breakers") they're the worst!

    Appreciate the comparison. Looking for something for this exact situation currently. Living in a river valley with horse pasture and the horses are constantly turning up old river rock and normally we just drive the utv around and have the kids picking rocks. This video was very helpful in helping decide what to get first.

    Instead of the mesh u could just weld a rod horizontally right in the middle of the spaces, that would work quite well

    I’ve found that rock rakes are pretty useless because my tractor has no downward pressure on the back so the rake pretty much just scrapes across the rocks and I end up just wasting diesel.
    This problem is compounded by the fact that my “soil” is soft sand here in southeast New Mexico so if I do catch any rock, there is too much drag and my tractor just spins in place.
    I think I should just move.

    • @lumberjackdreamer6267
      @lumberjackdreamer6267 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tractors don’t have downward pressure on the 3 point hitch, it’s floating.
      You can add weight on the implement to push it down. For example bags of (wet) concrete.
