looking at this kayak but my only issue is i have an SUV and instead of pulling it with a small trailer i would put it on top of my vehicle roof racks... i hear it's a very heavy kayak.. what are your thoughts? how do you transport yours ?
I put it on top my Suburban....no drama for me. My wife borrows it when I'm at work, and puts it on her Toyota Sienna van......she is about 5' 5 and she does it with ease. It is pretty easy to top load it. I just make sure the front of the kayak is more past the back end. So when I lift the front of the kayak, I just sit the nose in on the back of the car, then walk to the back of the kayak and lift and slide. It's straightforward and easy for the top load. I'll have to do a video sometime to demo how I do it. I prefer the Old town over Hobie, for the weight alone is worth it. I just got the wilderness cart....for rolling to water....it's the best addition. I may do a trailer if my wife wants to get another one. But I like toping...easy and less drama.....just sayin

Don't leave him out get him indoor and you can upgrade a lots stuff chk on FB groups
I did a few things already. Wilderness cart, Fishing pole holders, fishfinder, and planning to do downriggers next.
