An artist celebrated for his fantastical character designs for such blockbuster animated films as "A Bug’s Life", "Finding Nemo", "Robots", and the "Ice Age" series, Peter de Sève has been inspired by the masters of illustration throughout his career-from Edmund Dulac and A.B. Frost to Frank Frazetta and T.S. Sullivant. The artist discusses the work that has spurred his own creative process, as well as the projects that have engaged him for decades, including art for The New Yorker and such popular illustrated books as The Duchess of Whimsey and A Murder, A Mystery, and A Marriage.

So incredibly inspired by Peter’s work. It was wonderful to see a tour of all his work and what inspires him. I recently purchased Peter’s book of Sketches - I too really enjoy the magic in a sketch even more than the final product. Lots of wisdom to be taken from this talk. Thank you for uploading it!
