Wow 2 Ethiopian Airlines videos today, this one was on the older configuration and 777, the other TH-camr was in the A350 with newer seat. But, we know which one is self funded and not sponsored.
@@tfft probably not up to his expensive palates. I haven't try Ethiopian foods, is it really that heavy n spicy? He lives in Dubai, right? Isn't middle eastern cuisine also kinda heavy n spicy?
I flew Ethiopian to the Seychelles, where I am right now, and the ethiopian food served onboard was DELICIOUS!! I hope they serve some ethiopian course/s tomorrow on my flight back to Europe😊
@@tfft Found the menu online, no ethiopian food on neither on the two flights I’ll have with them :( But all their food is good anyway! And love your channel btw, keep the good work up!!
That food look tasty, next time you should do a little extra space for the “main course”. Ethiopians really know how to enchant their clientes. Thanks for the awesome video Kevin.
Had I knew it was supposed to go that way I would have! haha On the other hand, I suppose they could have been a little less generous with the Ethiopian courses lol. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I found your channel a few days ago, and I have been binge-watching your videos for several days now. I really like your style and consistency of telling stories. After watching your videos since the beginning, though, I noticed that you have become more and more critical. But I mean in it in a good way. Keep it up!
Hi, I seriously love every review on the channel. Keep it up! For the "biscuity snack" you had on board, it's Taralli Gusto Classico produced by Fiore Di Puglia. The reason why I know this is because Ethiopian serves the same in Economy, but with the actual package not on ramekin 😉
Hello @flipfloptraveller , the aperitif biscuits they gave you are called “Taralli” to the best of you knowledge, they are usually Italian but maybe in Ethiopia they are common from Italy’s former colonial past with the country. There are different versions but these looked like the classic ones. Enjoy!
Thanks for this great review. I LOVE Ethiopian food! And to see they are serving multiple courses makes me want to fly with them, soon. While living in DC area (Silver Spring to be precise), we had so many Ethiopian restaurants near by! But one of the best Ethiopian foods I have ever had was in Tel Aviv, it was mind-blowing amazing!
We get our business class by just getting on betting system so we didn't pay full price. The food onboard in the cloud 9 was good. I actually loved the Ethiopian Food at this lounge in the video.
The biscuits look to be Taralli, an Italian snack! Similar to breadstikcs or crackers. Love your reviews! Great attention to detail and as someone who does usually fast froward the take off, the addition of the city info is nice!
Your comments on the day long layover for Euro airlines to and from the far southern hemisphere was the major costly reason that all but BA stopped flying to Australia. The Asian and Mid East airlines can fly in and leave back to their hub home bases promptly. Surprisingly ANA lingers most of the day in Syd for a late night return to Haneda.
This is my first viewing of one of your videos. Excellent production. I have now subscribed. May enquire what camera equipment you use please. Thank you.
Thanks Kevin. Boy you get around. Was just looking at flights from Tokyo to Seoul and Ethopian came up. Googled and here you are. Great review. Thank you.
If you can, would highly suggest doing one of the Haneda to Gimpo flights if you can. Will save you a lot of time on both ends. I flew Incheon to Narita last month and it was an absolute s***show.
Great tripreport. Loved it. On takeoff and landing, can you also include wing and engine in video and maintain normal speed...not fast forward? Appreciate it...
Abu Dhabi 'sells' a premium experience and it under delivers. Addis 'sells' an economic experience and it delivers. So they're pretty equal in my mind. EY's lounge in AUH has better food/drink though. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
A few other commenters mentnioned their an Italian biscuit. I was so caught up in "Ethiiopian Snacks" mode that it never occured to me they were serving something straight out of Italy haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Flying this and the A350 in June! Thank you for this :) I usually fly Qatar or British to South Africa, and used to the suites but this looks charming and looking forward to the food. Just hoping I don't have a neighbor. 🤞🏽
One TH-camr told me that the video was not sponsored but made in cooperation with the airline. Even if the airline didn't pay for it, the fact that the airline knows a reviewer is coming means the service may not be the true service.
Which is why they don’t know when I’m coming lol. If you have behind the scenes access, interview the pilots, have a tour of the apron and sweep the runway, that is the very definition of sponsorship. I never claim other reviewers are paid for the videos like a VPN sponsorship by the airlines, but even if your flight is just free, it is impossible to be impartial. Any discount or special treatment is sponsorship as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Yah, they are haha. A few others pointed it out. I think I was just so READY for it to be an undiscovered Ethiopian delight that I never considered it could have come from somewhere else haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft maybe... Before I'm going to bed always is ALWAYS I see one of your videos and I would love to see some of the new brands that arrive in Madrid in the last 2 years like Mandarin, Four Seasons and Madrid Edition. Madrid is waiting you!

Ethiopian air lines, African pride.

This is the best review ive seen, am in Zanzibar now and business in Ethiopean was fantastic.
Enjoy Zanzibar!

@@tfft Found the menu online, no ethiopian food on neither on the two flights I’ll have with them :( But all their food is good anyway! And love your channel btw, keep the good work up!!

@@tfft No. ET has Ethiopian food only on day flights from Addis. It is the rule. it is a bit heavy at night.

A very impressive business record for this airline. They could teach other carriers a thing or two.

They’re Italian?? 🤦🏼♂️and here I thought I discovered some new delicious Ethiopian snack! Haha. Oh well, Brava Italia 🇮🇹 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Just to be more specific - if you tasted olive oil-ish it could have been "con olio extra vergine di oliva" flavor which is what I got.
@@tfftEthiopia was occupied by the Italians from 1936 to 1941, there's a lot of evidence in their cuisine 😁

Hows was the transit through Addis Ababa airport? How does it compare say to Abu Dhabi?

The one compared to abu dhabi is the new airport there building
Injera is a stable food in Ethiopia ❤

Sorry…?

The "biscuit" are called taralli, are supposed to be italian.
Yes, so I’ve learned 😅 My brain was just expecting them to be serving Italian cookies haha.
As a long follower, I've realized you've shortened your intro
Hmm, yes. The intro used to be 33 seconds and now it’s 30. Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
I wouldn't mind trying ET (& EK) on a 5th freedom route. It's too bad they don't do DUB TO LAX. Better chance to get into a premium for a decent fare.
I reckon EK in First from BKK-HKG is the king of all 5th Freedom Routes. Always under $1k. Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🙏
@@tfft that would be amazing. I'd probably go with EK LCA-MLA in first
Yeah wish they flew to LA. There is no African Airline flying to the West coast.
