As of upload date 6/20/24 this was my load order for Starfield. I will link this video in all future highlight clips that use this Load Order.

Thanks for sharing this, I've been racking my 🧠 to trying tod figure out what & how to put these mods in the "correct order". Been really enjoying this modding stuff a lot and you all that make these gems are a class act, 100%
Thank you for the kind words. Mods are always a bit of a pickle, and this load order worked okay. It wasn’t by any means perfect but it’s pretty stable. There are templates I follow, and a few golden rules (that I may not have followed on this specific load order, like Community Patches always go on top). I’m always fiddling around with Load Orders which means I haven’t had a character reach over 24 hours since this load order actually.

Well I had an idea for a mod that would fit your Modular series.
Disable fast travel, in all forms.
It would be a way of keeping myself honest on more hardcore play throughs. I don’t know if that’s something you could do, but I figure no harm in asking.
The better food and drink mod is saying it’s missing a requirement but I’m not sure why it is

Yeah I have since changed the load order and I fixed that oversight.
I read somewhere that “Bethesda always goes first” but didn’t realize that meant DLC not the equivalent to a mod.

If you are coming to this video’s comments to ask for help on your load order I will give you the same response I have given everybody.
Google search “Starfield mods load order Reddit” Look for some template suggestions. Create a Reddit Account and post your load order on r/Starfieldmods.
Game crashes? Power Cycle your Console/Restart the game. Changed the load order? Power Cycle your Console/Restart the game.
I am not a Modder in any sense of the word, just some who shared an imperfect load order.
Why are the perks/traits so low on your order? Are you using a LO list different from the one you linked in the Reddit thread?
Yes this load order was one I came up with on the fly, before those threads were created. I’m going to upload another one sooner or later where I followed the Template.
This load order was pretty stable, so I thought it might be helpful.

I’m new to mods and was following your video adding some mods I didn’t have as well as reorganizing them. I was about 3/4 done and now my game crashes every time when I try to go into creations. Any advice? TIA Series X
First off remember to power cycle your console anytime Starfield crashes. Or otherwise you will open the game and “press any button to start” and only see the Starfield logo. Either use the “restart” feature, or hold the power button for approx. 10 seconds.

The load order in the video was stable, but I have since changed/add mods, about 20-30% of this list. In doing so I used the aforementioned template and so far it’s going good.
Thank you for the reply. I will redo it again. Sorry if it’s a dumb question but what would the UC empire mod be considered as? I had it working then it stopped, I tried several different orders and nothing. Thank you again, I really appreciate your help. I will follow this guide
@@Forbesie99 As a conversion mod it’s not adding new content, but rather replacing something already there. So it will be a clothing alteration.
So I moved uc and freestar into my clothing section and it worked but when I go to Akila city, it’s not there lol. There’s a few structures and npcs but 90% of the city is gone lol
@@Forbesie99I don’t use those mods. So I’m not sure what they add. From what it sounds like it’s more of a Gameplay Overhaul/City/Clothing all in one.

Tryin to start new character. Certain weapons are missing, the basement in the lodge has ghost zone where everything is floating. The little outpost robot is not upstairs, the Gravis suit isn’t there, tons of shit missing. Help.
You are using mods that aren’t on my list. Go post your load order to r/starfieldmods on Reddit. Make a new thread.

@@LordRage13 I had the Gravis Suit in this video but no longer use it. It’s a single piece Space Suit. I’m not a fan of those type of Armor’s.

How did you enable Better Food and Drink Mod? I see it was last updated June 18th but when I try to download, it says it can't enable because it depends on files that aren't present.
This loadout was made prior to the 18th. I haven’t checked my load order for updates so it’s possible I had a working version, that is now outdated.
I recently added a few things and started a new character and haven’t had any issues, but again I never checked my library for updates.
Does it still says Version 1.1? I’m away from my Xbox at the moment, but according to the video that’s what the description says.

because it is redundent with Minimum System Level and any other mods that adjust system levels So Choose one or the other

Can you explain where to place modes? I have about 10 GB of mod downloaded but my game won’t start. I’m assuming it’s due to load order.

Otherwise Google search “Starfield mod load order Reddit”refine the search to the past week/month.
There is more to mods than just plug and play. Load order is king.
The load order in the video isn’t perfect, and I’m using a slightly different version of it right now. Still experience bugs, and crashes.
Just remember anytime the game crashes, or you tweak the load order, hard reset your platform. This allows the game to reset its memory, and load what you have enabled. Another thing to check before starting a game is “Gameplay Options” under settings making sure the menu is fully available.
With that many mods you’ll want to follow the template listed above, and if you still can’t get the game to launch. Disable all the mods, build a small load order with what you have downloaded, following the template, and test the game.
It may take you hours on end of simply playing the first few hours of the game and restarting just to make sure things are stable.
Thanks for the response. Can you tell me why you have mods on top of Starfield community patch? I thought that mod was supposed to be at the very top. And why do you run Starfield community patch instead of unofficial Starfield patch?
@@stephenedwards5063 I have since fixed that oversight. But my thinking was “official Bethesda stuff goes before Starfield Community Patch” but these files aren’t like that. That kind of stuff is like if DLC appears in the load order. The Vulture is a quest pack or armor/mod add on. It probably fits better with quest mods. Observatory with Outpost mods.
I am testing a new load order and will upload that one soon. It didn’t look too different from this one, until a few hours ago when I took my own advice and followed a template. The next step is to put hours of gameplay and check for inconsistencies/bugs/repeatable crashes etc.
For instance I just bought he Mining Conglomerate Creation, and it was working fine. But I was noticing something. Every time I would craft on my ship, in space, the ingredients used would appear in Cargo Modules in space in front of my ship. The modules themself weren’t “real” as I couldn’t shoot them like say a floating ship reactor after taking out an enemy ship. So I would essentially get my resources back. I have never seen that happen before, so I’m leaning toward believing it’s the Mining Conglomerate Creation. I just disabled it and will see if my save has any adverse effects due to removing it. Generally speaking it’s not a good idea to remove a mod from a save, but you can tell a difference pretty quickly. But it’s more of a quest mod, rather than an item mod. I have a feeling it might break the save, but I don’t mind starting over to fix a bug like the resource refund. If you read the description of it, it is in it’s most basic form.
@@stephenedwards5063 As to why I run the Starfield Community Patch, I chose one of the other out of the blue when I first made the load order. The author of the Unofficial Starfield Patch has a tendency to make specific changes to the game that fits his liking. The Community patch is more about general bug fixes, and maybe restoring content that was left on the cutting room floor.
Eventually mods may start requiring compatibility with one of these two mods, and the author of the Unofficial Starfield Patch has rubbed some Modders the wrong way with his Fallout 4/Skyrim patches. While both mods will have a single publisher, I believe a Community mod might have more nuance too it then a single author implementing his view/changes. A single author’s changes might be viewed as subjective opinion as opposed to an actual bug fix.
I don’t endorse either mod at this point. We will have to see what mods in the future use as a base for their changes. Sooner or later some mods will begin to say “requires x patch”.
