Imagine how deflating this game would have been without Kittle trying to keep the energy up no matter what. I think this should be shown to school children. Very inspiring in terms of how to face adversity and to lose without feeling bitter and sore. George Kittle was just not phased from beginning to end and Fred Warner takes us through the emotions of the game and then hugs it out with his bros. This was awesome!

100% agree. Football fans everywhere got robbed of what should have been an epic matchup. It was a rug pull on the Niners, but also the NFL fans. It just felt wrong. it was an empty win.
I didn't have a horse in the race either but the fact that it took the referees to call three or four penalties in a row on 9ers defense to bring the eagles down field and into scoring position. Showed me , they had the ability to beat them without a quarterback. Had the long ball setting up the 1st eagle TD been challenged it would have been ruled incomplete ,the third touchdown for the eagles the referees brought that ball down the field. The last TD the referees called unnecessary roughness when Hurt was hit to knock him out of bounds. Of course Hurt is athletic enough to walk a tight rope down the side line to run it in . Then when they do run that last one in , The safety for the 49ers was being held stopping him from coming up to make the play stopping the TD. No I didn't care who won but it seemed to me without the help of the referees that was a very close game, They hyped it up after the game that the eagles dominated the 49ers that's not what I saw. Of course I'm not a football fanatic or critic but I believe both games were rigged by the officials to create the super bowl set up. Now you have the Eagles playing against a team with a hobbling Quarterback. Thought i would watch last week's match up as really good games but they were both undoubtedly being over officiated for a predetermined outcome.

Absolutely heartbreaking. I’m not a niners fan but over the last few years they have accomplished so much through so many injuries to really key players on both sides, especially QB. Hats off to Kittle and Warner for never giving up and doing their best to keep the troops spirits up, but man they were basically hyping soldiers to run into machine gun fire WW1 style. And I feel so bad for Purdy. He had such a magical run and even though it was absolutely not his fault that they lost, he looks like he took it so hard. The moral dropped immediately, can just feel that "not again" moment. Injuries across the board, especially to the most important position in football. They still found a way to reach NFC ship. Hard to overcome such a big injury in such a tough environment.
@6971robi Aside from the first drive, which was extended by an incomplete pass on 4th down, Philly didn't do anything on offense, they got a gift of a fumble, had one TD drive extended with multiple 3rd down penalties, other than all of that, Philly was in a tie ball game against a team with a 3rd string QB, who was picked last in the draft, on a team also missing another RB key to the offense, and finally with NO QB, don't think that equates to team dominance

One hell of a tough loss. Extremely hard to swallow. But when seasons ends like this there is one thing that is very important to remember and that is: THIS IS THE BUSINESS WE’VE CHOSEN. By that I mean, there are no guarantees and disappointments is a part of this wonderful game (It would have been absolutely epic to play the chiefs in Arizona next week). In one way you could say that we, the fans, have ourselves to blame for feeling this bad since we invest so much emotions and hope in our teams. But try to be grateful for what this team accomplished this year. For example we have witnessed the entry of a future star qb into this team. I’m real glad they even won the wild card game ’cause I remember I had a really bad feeling in the first half ’cause the seahawks played really well in that game and had the niners against the ropes until the defence forced that turnover of which the offence could make it a two possesion lead. Imagine if the fortyniners had lost that game? The fortyniners has shown how extremely fun watching football can be this season and I for one are so grateful that they made the sundays so enjoyable. This offseason the coaches will improve the o-line so that Brock or any other qb won’t suffer such a devastating injury again. Go fortyniners and keep up the good spirit, Faithful fans

As an Eagles fan. I have to say. George Kittle is who we all want on our teams. His positive and uplifting attitude.
Hes a big whiner though. Slay and other players said his "eagles d is good on paper" comment was a huge motivating factor for the defense. Then afterwards little said he didn't get to see how good the eagles D really was (he did though)

Well, yeah. Lost their starting QB early to season-ending injury. Lost 2nd stringer, who had a host of victories, mid-season to season-ending injury. Lost third-stringer, who had a host of victories, in conference final to season-ending injury. Then lost 4th stringer in conference final to season-ending injury. I'd say that's a bad run injury-wise.
Imagine how deflating this game would have been without Kittle trying to keep the energy up no matter what. This team is so good, I hope they get a chance to dance in the Superbowl next with this same roster. Deebo, Kittle, Purdy, and CMC have all shown they are a championship caliber team when healthy

I didn't have a horse in the race either but the fact that it took the referees to call three or four penalties in a row on 9ers defense to bring the eagles down field and into scoring position. Showed me , they had the ability to beat them without a quarterback. Had the long ball setting up the 1st eagle TD been challenged it would have been ruled incomplete ,the third touchdown for the eagles the referees brought that ball down the field. The last TD the referees called unnecessary roughness when Hurt was hit to knock him out of bounds. Of course Hurt is athletic enough to walk a tight rope down the side line to run it in . Then when they do run that last one in , The safety for the 49ers was being held stopping him from coming up to make the play stopping the TD. No I didn't care who won but it seemed to me without the help of the referees that was a very close game, They hyped it up after the game that the eagles dominated the 49ers that's not what I saw. Of course I'm not a football fanatic or critic but I believe both games were rigged by the officials to create the super bowl set up. Now you have the Eagles playing against a team with a hobbling Quarterback. Thought i would watch last week's match up as really good games but they were both undoubtedly being over officiated for a predetermined outcome.

Absolutely heartbreaking. I’m not a niners fan but over the last few years they have accomplished so much through so many injuries to really key players on both sides, especially QB. Hats off to Kittle and Warner for never giving up and doing their best to keep the troops spirits up, but man they were basically hyping soldiers to run into machine gun fire WW1 style. And I feel so bad for Purdy. He had such a magical run and even though it was absolutely not his fault that they lost, he looks like he took it so hard. Probably also feels like getting to the Super Bowl was his shot at being a starting QB long term. I hope he gets another shot.

The moral dropped immediately, can just feel that "not again" moment. Injuries across the board, especially to the most important position in football. They still found a way to reach NFC ship. Hard to overcome such a big injury in such a tough environment.

Aside from the first drive, which was extended by an incomplete pass on 4th down, Philly didn't do anything on offense, they got a gift of a fumble, had one TD drive extended with multiple 3rd down penalties, other than all of that, Philly was in a tie ball game against a team with a 3rd string QB, who was picked last in the draft, on a team also missing another RB key to the offense, and finally with NO QB, don't think that equates to team dominance

As an eagles fan I hated how this game played out. I was really excited to see the two Titans of the NFC play their hearts out but what happened the the 49ers was so unfortunate. I hope that they have better luck next season with injuries cause it was just tragic what happened to them.

One hell of a tough loss. Extremely hard to swallow. But when seasons ends like this there is one thing that is very important to remember and that is: THIS IS THE BUSINESS WE’VE CHOSEN. By that I mean, there are no guarantees and disappointments is a part of this wonderful game (It would have been absolutely epic to play the chiefs in Arizona next week). In one way you could say that we, the fans, have ourselves to blame for feeling this bad since we invest so much emotions and hope in our teams. But try to be grateful for what this team accomplished this year. For example we have witnessed the entry of a future star qb into this team. I’m real glad they even won the wild card game ’cause I remember I had a really bad feeling in the first half ’cause the seahawks played really well in that game and had the niners against the ropes until the defence forced that turnover of which the offence could make it a two possesion lead. Imagine if the fortyniners had lost that game? The fortyniners has shown how extremely fun watching football can be this season and I for one are so grateful that they made the sundays so enjoyable.
This offseason the coaches will improve the o-line so that Brock or any other qb won’t suffer such a devastating injury again. Go fortyniners and keep up the good spirit, Faithful fans
