Although i dont watch your videos as much anymore, i still have notifications on so i can see what youre up to 😂 you're the reason i started daily journalling on december 3rd 2022! Now im on my 18th full journal, and have you and journalling to thank for my mental health improving :) thanks, carrie! ❤
I think my big changes have been: writing the date on the margin > writing it on the line, not writing the time > writing the time and then back to not writing it, adding the location where I'm writing, adding "listening to/watching/song stuck in head", started writing every day then stopped again, started doing a "top five things that happened this year" then stopped (they were either really obvious or really hard to come up with) then started a more general end-of-year recap, started doing financial updates every month, and a slow evolution from a focus on writing about daily life as much as possible to prioritizing writing lots of detail about days I wanted to remember in detail.

Journaling is so amazing me and my friend who journals too (we both coincidentally started because we watched you and then discovered we both journaled) always joke I could never quit journaling because if I did then I would have to journal about it
i started journaling at 11 years old, i used to occasionally write at 6-7 years old, but at 11 i really got the hang of it. i now am 17 and can see how my handwriting has changed through the years, and i also never did paragraphs untill now, and always wrote in a black or blue pen until now, now i write in my favorite color, purple. I now always include the date, maybe will start putting the time in. But. certain characteristic is that all of my journals (11) have an index page with all chapters w the pages numbered so its easy to find, and, as a huge anne frank fan, i mention her on every diary as she was my inspiration to start journaling like for real. i love ur videos carrie!!
I can totally relate to the pessimism when starting daily journaling. I always write a title to every day, which makes it really easy to find stuff in the journals. I started daily journaling on January 1st 2022 and on the 4th I wrote the title "Keeping the streak going" but in Swedish.

to comment on the changes in journaling, I was super sick over november 2023 - may 2024. I started journaling and you can really tell something was wrong. My writing at the start was super messy, off center, crooked, and my words were not making sense. Now, i’m feeling much better and it doesn’t even look like the same person is writing in the journal. it is much neater and clearer and makes more sense! Very interesting how you can tell the differences through journaling!
15 years is an impressive amount of time. Thank you for inspiring so many people to journal. I am much older. I don’t know exactly when I started journaling but it has been decades.
For my current journal I’m using a an unlined journal with colorful pages. I absolutely love it! I will definitely buy more of them for my journaling in the morning and the evening. It’s such a beautiful journal! I’m about halfway through it. It’s flower themed. I can’t wait to get more of these journals.
What should I write about when I have days that are repetitive and not interesting to read? 🤔😁 Also, I have a lot of pencils which I want to use up. Should I use them in my journal or not?

I love this!! I have about 50 journals filled. Not totally yet but soon!! I’ve been journaling a lot since 2017 as well but on and off since 2014-2016. I wished I journaled more throughout those years!! I love this video!! 😊

I started my first journal in 2022 on like October i am celebrating two years of journaling and 2 weeks of journaling every day so yeah but yo have encouraged me a lot i am on my second journal and i got this one two weeks ago and it's about half way done lol they go fast and it's a thick one

I loved this video! I started watching your channel about a year and a half ago and since then I’ve been consistently journaling. My style is a mix of yours and other jpurnal people I find! I love all the color. Maybe I’ll try to do a month of color in September ❤🎉
I first started journaling last year and I feel like my 2nd and 3rd journal were the peak of my journaling. Like I used to write multiple times a day with so many doodles and the entries were all long. I'm not sure what happened but my 4th journal and onwards my entries got lazier and sometimes I use shortcuts like scribbles and doodles to get a page done ASAP so I can start working on my coding (I have a rule I have to journal before I turn my computer on in the afternoon) idk if this change is due to my focus on coding and since I packed my summer to be full of game dev, studying python and writing everyday maybe I've just been feeling rushed or something so I don't put the time I need in my journal entries like I did last year when game dev was my only focus for summer so I had for time on my hands
Maybe a stupid question but my handwriting has always not been so great. How do you get such beautiful hand writing and when you do your cover pages etc? Do you stencil it out or are you just that skilled?
Favorite pens mentioned at 2:15. Any experience with dip pens? I sometimes find that writing with a dip pen slows the process down enough I can organize my thoughts better. Seems to help writer's block. Using dip pens or fountain pens allows a huge variety of colors. I have come to like fountain pens. They take less pressure than a ball point, so I can write quickly. An italic nib adds an interesting look to handwriting.
Hi Carrie! Love your vids. If you're willing to I would love to see an updated ' trying on all the clothes in my closet ' video. I completely understand if you're not. I know that's a big project and you're really busy. Also I was just wondering if it's hard for you to be honest and messy in your journals or if it ever feels forced due to making content about it? Like if it ever loses its appeal or doesn't feel like it did when you first started it, now that you've made a business out of it? I would love to have a channel of my own one day, and maybe add some journal related content, but I'm also pretty prone to losing interest or getting burned out. I hope you're doing well ❤️
So everybody journals are wonderful and I know are many kinds. I want to do one for fanfics but I'm confused to layout. Bullet journals are planners and log keeping format but I'm wondering if I should go vision board/notes style with mine, please thoughts? Also I should note before I write I always play the vid game read the book or watch movie my fic is based on to feel out the mood and tone. So umm did I just answer self?

As an 12 yr old I love journaling I really just love to write I’m am currently a little over halfway through my 5th journal !
I really enjoy journaling and going back and rereading what I’ve written. I enjoy using colorful pens. Stickers and handmade place savers.

Yeah you can but pen will not fade and pencil will. And you can use journal prompts online
