I also found it rather unfair on the contenders that in order to score 10 POINTS in EARTHQUAKE they had to remove the Gladiator but stay on the Gyro-Platform at all times, in The U.S.A. Version Bianca would've been given 10 POINTS instead of 5 POINTS for removing the Gladiator from the platform regardless as to whether the contender fell off or not. To cut a long story short: The Rulings In EARTHQUAKE were a lot more fairer in the American Gladiators than they were in the British Gladiators, and that's a opinion I certainly won't be changing any time soon.
Also notice The Gyro-Platform doesn't move nearly as much as it does in the AMERICAN REVIVAL SERIES, and they a much better showing a Rocket-Ball with the contenders in America getting a good 8-10 chances of scoring in Rocket-Ball, but in the UK VERSION because of the slow speed of the Harness-System launching them up into the air, they only got 7 Chances Maximum even with The EXTRA 30 SECONDS given to the event. The UK REVIVAL was a damp squid compared to The American Gladiators Revival so if it comes back again in future, the UK need to pay more attention to the American Revivals of 2008-2009 and be a lot more like them.
If John Anderson wanted EARTHQUAKE to be A PUSHING MATCH rather than A WRESTLING MATCH, he should've armed both Contenders & Gladiators with BATTLE-SHIELDS like the used in THE 2ND REVIVAL SERIES OF GAUNTLET. Otherwise it was always going to be a wrestling match every single time they played the event. THE NEW EVENT EARTHQUAKE didn't get a very good reception in this series, so with the rules changed to allow more legal wrestling moves, it made the event a lot more exciting to watch in THE 2ND REVIVAL SERIES, and that's probably why John Anderson was sacked and replaced by John 'The Chimpanzee' Coyle & A Unknown Video Referee.
13 seconds for battleaxe to knock danielle down! Amazing
