As if Undertaker would have come down to the ring out of character, chased Shawn down and beat him up shoot. I can't see that ever happening other than in a phantasy but I don't doubt he was in Gorilla watching the match.
@@TheHannibalTV yes in the clip that's basically what he said. I'm too lazy to find the link but he definitely did confirm he stuck around to make sure Shawn did the job
Love how Shawn acted like a big shot when the company went with him over Bret. 4 months later they picked Steve over Shawn and Shawn tossed a fit like a baby
Back in the they hay day basically the time frame your talking about there was a local sports bar that used to play the ppvs and I know there was atleast 50-75 people and they charged like 5$ or 10$ at the door but like your saying @johnpoz the numbers we hear these days are scude in my opinion plus I know kids that did like you had mentioned that this house will buy this one and the nabours got the other this is my favourite time frame I started watching about January 98 or so
‘You can’t make that joke today…’ …and that’s the problem with modern wrestling not VKM’s writing ability. You can’t build real heat these days because people are afraid to offend people. Who cares. If it’s funny, it’s funny.
I agree with it being a major problem in today's society. But WWE should still be able to write a watchable wrestling show, like the Hogan era - but they can't do it to save their life! it seems
Michael’s was playing up his back injury. He did have back problems but not career ending severity. Cornette said the same thing about it too and it was curious that Michael’s back got better just in time when his contract ended and he could no longer get paid to sit at home.
Shawn Michaels wasn’t a draw and Vince says that’s where the business was at the time. From 1992-1997, Bret, Shawn, Diesel, Yoko, Taker, Savage, Flair, no one could lift the company up. Austin saves it in 1998. He leaves in 1999 until 2000 so the rock takes over. From 1998-2001 the ratings are high. Shawn all of a sudden comes back in 2002 when rock goes Hollywood and Austin walked out on the company. Steve comes back for a few months and retires at Mania 19. From 2002 Shawn and HHH are back on top and the ratings went back to 2s and 3s just like they were pre 1998. Shawn can’t draw. Its simple. He’s athletic in the ring. Most athletic of all time maybe. Still can’t draw
Yeah right. Shawn said hey Vince I screwed over Bret Hart for you. I’ve been fighting for the top spot for years and now that I have it, you’re just gonna give it to Austin 4 months after I was there for u during the screw job? Shawn always says they chose him over Bret and Bret couldn’t handle it. Went the same way when they chose Austin over Shawn. Shawn tossed a fit. That’s what Vince does. Shawn had no right to be angry. Austin passed by Shawn and Bret in 1997. Pretty much a year before they actually gave Austin the title
Cool interview. WM14 really hooked me back into wrestling at the time.
Behind the scenes stuff is the most interesting part of wrestling now days.
True
Great Listen here. Wm14 was a crazy time
Russo way cool. Feud is back on ,nice. Relevance in Our golden years.
Imagine if Michaels had no sold Tyson's punch. It actually looked pretty good for a worked punch.
He would have gotten his ass kicked when he got to the back and he would have been blackballed from WWE for life.
Im pretty sure tyson would be confused as hell, and give him an actual KO punch😂
I was at WM14 it was awesome!!!
17:58 Taker already confirmed this was true in a semi recent interview

@@TheHannibalTV he probably would have waited for shawn to get to gorilla to beat him up
Corners confirmed this on A KF commentary release..taker watched it on a monitor once he seen HBK did the job he took of his tape.
