It's crazy, the thing they added to directly counter Leapers doesn't even always counter Leapers when it works. And then they added Sindorei back into the pool to try to further counter it, except it's actually a grief because you want the Baron to get taunted by Whitemane, and unless the Sindorei can one shot the baron with the buff then it just griefs you by removing the taunt. Honestly a 10/10 update that was overshadowed by this design mistake, it's not a consistent problem but it feels so bad whenever they get everything to pull it off, especially in Duos where you have to tech accordingly, and if they're the second player you just always lose
Leapers feels horrible because it's a 2-drop that just scales in combat and you just need to put a big enough modifier on it, either more triggers or more bodies to leap, with nothing beating it. More than 9 bodies for anti-scum, exponetional scaling of 2x or 3x with Titus, and as we saw, he didn't even have economy. He found golden macaw from a previous turn, 2 titus and a mount and it won fights with bad hits.
I hate how effective leapers is, in videos you can see his opponents grief themselves by reborning leaper and still get ahead. If leapers was a 6-drop, maybe I'd be fine with it cause people forcing it would lose early trying to rush to it and they wouldn't transition into it ever.
Difference between XQN, my 8k elo and most others is me and the rest of the guys would force frogs while XQN went tempo undead.
This is just such an interesting channel, he makes me watch a leapers game 😅
I always grab staff, and I've got first every single time, except for ONCE, because my 200 attack undead free less than flies in front of a dark near perfect leapper set up that went like 10k? It was so high that I couldn't really read the numbers, just kinda accepted my fate

No it's a weak setting. I made a video of my combo. 2 golden parrot + 2 golden rivendell + golden moira. My beasts turned out to be a few million stats each.
This comp is so Boring, in my game when i see beast, its like Ho no every People Will play frog... so boring
What's your MMR? There are many great strategies high level players use to counter them successfully, and almost render them useless - I'd recommend checking out jeef HS on TH-cam, in a few of his videos on this season he explains and demonstrates many counters to leapers
