- Dholka, an ancient city, which is also mentioned in Mahabharata, it used to be called Virat Nagar earlier ... Pandavas had stayed here during their agyatvaas... Khan Masjid, is one of the popular places here along with malav talav (pond), the pond was built by Siddhraj Jaisingh's mother Minal Devi...and it is popular among common people for Minaldevi's justice ...
Dholka can be considered as one of the historical places in Gujarat.
