I got one a month ago. It is great! wow I am really blown away. Patchbox installation is a breeze and MODP and Supercollider are exactly what I always dreamed about. Phantastic work!!!
At that moment they used Volumio which is a music server i.e. you can stream/play music using a webpage. So at that moment its a Web page with the IP of Volumio is opened. hope that helps.😊
The documentation states that input impedance is 100KOhm. It doesn't seem optimal for connecting high-impendance magnetic pickups such as an electric guitar.
I'm an Rpi enthusiast and musician. I have 3 pieces of midi equipment that i would like to control (send midi commands to) from a single footswitch. Would this device work for that? Thanks.
so basically it's a soundcard.. with midi in and out... most Pi's already have a WiFi transmitter/receiver... no expansion (ex: adding knobs, ins/outs etc) available as far as his video shows... so why should I buy/support this?
I'll probably get it because 1) It's a more compact form of soundcard so I won't have to get a soundcard that just sort of hangs out of the Pi (aka Behringer UCA202), 2) it's hard to find MIDI I/O for this kind of thing (Sure, you could get a usb-midi thing, but those are cables that are male, so then you'd have to find male-female converters, etc), and 3), Did I mention compact already? I am a sucker for small music things.
Boi Mesa “Equipped with 192kHz 24-bit Stereo Input and Output driven by the legendary Burr-Brown chips, DIN-5 MIDI Input and Output ports, user-customizable button and bundled software tools” the interface quality alone is worth the extra price IMO, in addition to dedicated analog IO

I'll just mention that there are simpler/cheaper soundcards for the raspi in case you just want volumio and you do not need the midi features etc.
@@tanmaywho thank you !! so that's the trick !! =)
@@low_effort_Q1 thank you for the suggestion !! yes that's true !
Also MIDI can be managed with the "old" 5 DIN to USB connector ;)

Now here's a project I'd be willing to back up!

ultra low latency sound and no drivers is a BIG+++ 🤘
Will this work with Pi 4?
And could you effectively turn your Raspberry into a digital guitar amp for example?
That would be incredible.
Yes & yes. Take a look here: community.blokas.io/t/pisound-with-raspberry-pi-4/1238 and here: blokas.io/modep/ ;)
