For those having trouble seeing the difference, click between 7:43 (S1), 10:20 (L2), and 12:40 (X2). The road shows it well.

I have had halogen’s fora few years now. They are super scary to drive in total darkness on desert roads. I bought these for low and high. They definitely bright! People must want a portable sun for headlights that fry tiny bugs that cross the beam.

I like the idea of the x2, but bulbs with fans are a serious concern for failure. I don't know if it's worth the risk. Question is: how long will the fans last before you're having to buy new ones.

I concur I'm going to guess it has to to with the application. I have ran L2, X2, and S1. I have found the S1 in a 9008 in an 11 F150 application are as bright as the X2 in a 9005 12 explorer with projectors and 07 edge high beams. The L2s in the H11 07 Edge low beam, are the least bright of the ones I've used but still a vast improvement over Halogen bulbs.

Enjoyed the comparisons between the 3.
In defense of the S1 lights, there are variations and you had bought the weakest one, H11.
I've got the S1 H13 9008s which are a lot brighter than the H11s you bought and they're WAAAAY brighter than the halogens that were in it.
That's an important distinction between all these lights, there are variations of each one so take that into consideration. 🤘😁🤘

Great video, much appreciated. A while back I picked up the S1's and I found that they were worse than the stock halogen's (2016 Ford Fusion) so I went back with the halogen's. Just recently I came across some L2's at a surplus store that I grabbed for cheap (not installed yet) but after doing some research and having found your video I think that I will get the X2's for the low beams and throw the L2's in the fog lights. Thanks again for the informative video, it helped make my decision.

So I bought the S1 H11 for a 2007 Pilot which uses a projector for low beam. Not impressed at all. They're white looking but not bright, especially in inclement weather. Given the supposed LUX rating they are a disappointment. But based on your tests I'll give the L2 or X2 a try as they're on sale.
