- hi guys, here's my first look walkaround review of the Newly Launched TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Black Edition. Priced at just Rs. 1.09 lacs ex showroom, this bike screams value for money. it gets single channel ABS, 16 PS power, twin gas charged shocks, petal disc, comfortable spacious seat, and the brutal RTR Racing DNA.
Just got the first service of this beautiful but powerful beast done today. Been riding it for a month now, serves its purpose of being able to do sporty commutes and getting into 90s is damn easy and this machine feels natural to it as an animal to its natural habitat. I had two issues, the neutral light sometimes glowed up even in first gear and due to that, the bike would start in first gear even without the clutch held. Secondly, there is a specific ticking noise at 50kmph and above. I got rid of the first issue in the service, the service centre guy has said that the noise issue will settle down as well.
What about vibration issues bro.. is it still there

Dinesh Bhai you are the man after watching your detailed review in 2019 I purchased my 2nd bike Pulsar 150cc Red and Black Neon the last bs4 and the very first ABS model. Apache Spares are costlier to Pulsar so after sale service is higher. The feel Pulsar gives no one can in these range of cc engine. 😃😍❤️🏍️🔥👍🇮🇳👌

I am planning to purchase a bike for city commuting. And i had selected tvs apache rtr 160 2v and rtr 180 2v and pulser 150 aingle disk old model which one is better bhayya let me short out one among these three with your help.
You Better Prefer RTR 180 Cause
1. SHORT WHEEL BASE WHICH PROVIDES YOU GOOD Cornering Even With Stock Tyre.
2. And Both Of Tyre Cost Only 3500₹.
3. Good Ground Clearance
4. Light WEIGHT Than Pulsar
5. Full Digital Console
6. Low Maintenance.
7. Cheap Service Parts.
8. Rough And Tough Bike.
9. If You Have Knowledge Of Basic Servicing You Can Do It Your Self.
10. When The Batteries Are Down You Can Start Even By Pusing Even On 1st Gear And You Don't Have To Run And Push Just Walk And Push At least The Speed Of 10kmph Then Released The Clutch.
Trust Me I Have An Experience For More Than 8 Years Since 7 oct 2016 And I Ride RTR 180 BS III MATT BLACK With 16 liter Fuel Capacity.

@@vinayeluri2143 Even If Bike Discontinue Service Parts Will Be Available For Atleast 7-8 years For Example LML Freedom, LML Vespa Scooter, Mahindra Flite , Mahindra Rodeo , YAMAHA RX 100 , YAMAHA RX 135 etc.
How Ever THE APACHE RTR 160 2V AND RTR 180 HAS GREAT DESIGNED BY SIR RAVI GOKA I DONT THINK IT WILL DISCONTINUE THAT FAST And These types of 2v engines in the among 160 and 180 has longest life span of atleast 1lakh Km With out changing the special parts like block head cranks only if you keep doing basic servicing like mobil chance b4 time, using good brand mobil eg Castrol ultimate 10w 30 - 40 , Change Spark Plug atleast once in year or 15000km which ever earlier, Air filter change or cleaning , Wheel And Sprocket Bearing Change once in 2 year These Are the basic maintenance I have learn in past 8years and how to maintain my bike just try all these and see the perfomance.
Just 5 k more than the hero Xtreme 125r ..is an insane proposition...nice offering from tvs

1.09 lacs? But it say 1.23 L on bike dekho for Same black edition single channel abs. Top model with single channel abs is 1.33 L and Dual channel goes upto 1.38L. I like the fact that the difference between single channel and dual channel is just 5k.
Which is a better buy - 1.33 L single channel abs Apache RTR 160 4v or 1.49 L TVS Ronin base model with single channel abs.
