The Peterson Farm Bros are made up of Greg (33), Nathan (30), and Kendal (27) Peterson. We are 5th generation family farmers who farm together in Kansas with our parents David and Marla and our wives BrookeAnna (Greg's), Riley (Nathan's) and Caelan (Kendal's). Our Wheat is looking pretty good for the first of March. We're in Central IL and just put our first pass of nitrogen on today! Good luck to all of our wheat farmers!!

I am born and raised in Junction city, Kansas my family and I worked at someone farm for a year and i hope i go back to farming after this year when i graduate.
Getting ready to do same thing up here in Republic Co. nice to have a good start on the wheat. Been 3 years here since it looked this good!! Amazing what moisture does!!! Your wheat looks good.
We ran the first half several days ago, (far western Ky) probably do the harmony late next week then the second half of 32%. Here’s wishing you and everyone else a great year in ‘24!

Do you put a NPK mix of fertilizer with the seed incorporation or do you get that with the manure?
Yes, we put a phosphate starter (12-40-0 +sulfur) on with the drill when we seed the wheat in the fall. Most of our ground is high in potassium so we don't have to apply it usually, especially where we put manure.
Vacation? Farmers dont get vacations.
