The argument to support that is that druid don't really care about concierge being 4 mana to do his combo while it may be important for other deck thay may need concierge in order to survive and be compétitive enough un the meta (and if the problem was druid it may be more efficient to nerf another druid tool instead of a neutral card)
@shael4866 Absolutely. I have an extremely fun Wild Jackpot Rogue deck list that was actually viable. However, a lot of that came from Gaslight Gatekeeper being 3 mana so it slotted perfectly into curve. After they nerfed it to 4 mana, the deck became a lot clunkier to play and had to build the deck a bit differently.

These changes feel like Deja vu. I’m pretty confident this is not the first time cards that summon past minions have had to add the different minions text later. It’s like the dev team has never played old HS and are just making the Same mistakes. The zilliax change is addressing something zeddy has talked about which is punishing you for playing cards style of design that just sucks and feels like a sign there running out of ideas for cards.
I have been hunting Zilliax warriors with a warlock deck I think I saw Warshack using, it has reno and sargaras to wipe the zilliax without killing it, and wheel of death to take out infinite value decks that don’t kill you fast and remove any bombs you may have had in your deck against those types of warriors. Really specialized in hunting warriors this set but does okay into other decks too.

Truly. Would have also been interesting if the Crocs were given Deathrattle: Buff your hand by +1/+1 as an extra motive to play them & get more of them. Even better if it gave that past 1/2 with the hand buff and draw deathrattle.
What bothers me is that many decks make a game plan that consists of being able to repeat a play many times like summoning Amantul 7 times in a game or ruining the opponent's deck without being able to remove the junk cards.
Love the adjustment on Ticking module meaning it + Pylon module has an odd cost again and I can recraft Ziliax for my odd paladin in wild (yes I am that bastard that still plays odd paladin in 2024)

DK vacationing with Shaman spells is maybe my favorite deck right now so I'm happy with the buffs. I'm very thankful with the changes to nerf the decks that play Killiax and the Zilliax that was in aggro decks. I wish Nightshade Tea wasn't 2 damage yourself since I get it from the 2/2 murloc drink guy all the time. Just like how the warlock fel health potions are 1 mana more expensive than I'd like to spend.
You're right. Kibler really dislikes concierge however, he mentions he disagrees with it because it discourages player agency. He wanted it to be ''...but no less than 1'' and they didn't take his advice there. He's mentioned he does consulting for card games, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a consultant for HS but can't mention it because of a NDA.
for me those "nerfs" to druid and elemental do nothing. Concierge going 1 mana means nothing for druid that by turn 4 can have 8 mana and you don't play chia drake for stats you play it because it's draws you a spell (or if you need it +1 spell damage) and adds 1 mana card that do the same. lamplighter is still 4 mana pyroblast to face which every elemental deck will want and rouge still will abuse it because of shadowstep and breakdance (and brewmaster which every deck can play). Rouge still can deal 23 damage to face on turn 8 as long as you have lamplighter and two shadowsteps and played elementals 7 turn's in a row (which isn't hard) I was really hoping for a change to text "deal x damage split randomly across enemies"

Rogue got gutted with this. The healing zilliax was extremely important for all non lamplighter decks. And then the only card they buff doesnt really help rogue at all and only helps paladin..
I had no problem with zilliax. Why would i when i just use lamplighter to otk u from hand. In 1 game i dealt over 70 dmg to my enemy because he had like 43 armor or so. Rouge is balanced

But yeah, as you said adding more tnt with bounces/zola is generally better than more zilliaxes. Boomboss singlehandley wins any non-aggro matchup while against aggro you don't need more than dr boom to win.

I don't see how the Ryecleaver buff can be considered a buff. They just took 2 mana off the weapon and gave it to the sandwich. Would make more sense if the sandwich was still 2 mana.
You can coin the weapon turn 4 attack, next turn play a pack with 5 taunts and attack, play sandwich and summon a minimum of 5 taunts or beast in hunter, and a possibility to draw minion . Looks great, right?

@@blahthebiste7924 Mainly three reasons. 1. I find Control Warrior especially boring rn since its just resurrecting Zilliax over and over again. 2. Many Control decks have been almost identical for almost a year. I really like Rainbow DK but it's been barely changed since Titans. 3. Just because a deck has a counter, that doesn't mean that I like seeing it over and over, especially since Flood Paladin also barely changed in Perils. It's also just really frustrating to play against cause you basically have to either outlast or OTK them.
Ticking module honestly should be for only opponents minions, there should be a Ziliax that protects against a wide board. The friendly minion part was just overkill and led to feels bad plays
they are nerfing the late game decks - all the meta is gonna be is elementals, buff paladin and agro. I don't really like the patch changes when the deck is so fun to play

If Lamplighter is a pyroblast, you already lost the game by spending 10 turns doing nothing.

The Dazzler is great in Arena. Constructed is more competitive for cards so it hasn't seen play. Tea upgrade is great for Priest. Death to Zilliax!

This patch does nothing, maybe some ppl are going to try Chaotic Tendrils after the patch.
It wont work as it used to be because you need board space for the elementals to attack. It might lock the enemy board for many turns tho
having to kill 8 ziliax its better than having to killing 16

Ticking module honestly should be for only opponents minions, there should be a Ziliax that protects against a wide board. The friendly minion part was just overkill and led to feels bad plays

they are nerfing the late game decks - all the meta is gonna be is elementals, buff paladin and agro. I don't really like the patch changes when the deck is so fun to play
