"Kemper presets" are not like factory presets on other Modellers. The Profiles that come with the Player were made by some of the best Commercial Profilers. For example. MB means Michael Britt. @@averagejer Just wondering. I noticed almost all the profiles you demoed seemed to have no Delay or Reverb? Usually there's a Delay included in most Profiles...or did you not turn it on?
@@averagejer Aha, that's what I thought. Using my Kemper Head and soon Player whenever I play lead I hit the Delay immediately. 😂 On the Head/Rack and Player if Delay is activated you can use the knob to turn delay volume up or down and tweak the Repeats.
Exactly the demo I was hoping for - thank you! Current Strymon Iridium player strongly considering this unit. The stock presets seem to be very geared towards distorted "Mars" type sounds which are not useful to me and the clean sounds don't sound as good as what I've already got with my Iridium. Will definitely need to hear more out of the Kemper before I pull the trigger. Good luck with your channel.
You can't hear/appreciate/feel the Kemper clean tones through a TH-cam video. It excels at clean to just breaking up tones when you add the Compressor up front followed by the Pure Boost. There's also a magical Compressor in the AMP section. And then play loud...🙂
Thank you for playing some driving, rhythm guitar! This lets me hear what I would be using the Player for in my playing. Also, you are an excellent guitarist and I enjoyed your playing.
You can open up any of the liquid profiles and adjust them to your taste, just like a real tube amp. Plus the effects you can add are world class. This demo hasn’t scratched the surface.
Great idea, I have always ignored the preloaded profiles in my Kemper because I assumed paid profiles were superior. I really like some of these clean and breakup sounds.

I spent two years with a kemper stage, way too much tweaking for me. Most profiles sound bad and require some polishing. I needed a traditional layout of an amp that can go from clean to cranked with its own character, so I went with the UAD amp sims. Kemper profiles are more of a snapshot of an amp under certain settings, you have some wiggle room to go a bit cleaner or dirtier but if you go too far you lose the amp's character, that's why you'll find profiles of the same amp in its clean crunch gain setup, that might work for some but it was a headache for me. You can't pick a random profile and push the drive or clean up like you would an actual amp, you have to use separate variants of the profile.
@@raphexer u an idiot guy. There’s always gotta be a negative comment coming from an idiot. How many pros use the Kemper. A lot more than you can count on your 10 hands. Idiot
It's a Dr Z Maz 38 Reverb Mkii. It's an awesome amp that I end up listing for sale every 6 months because I don't play it enough. Then I plug it in and take down my for sale listing a few weeks in because it does sound fantastic.
Thanks man! Haha I haven’t finished a song in like 5 years so I’m not sure I could call them originals. I’m sure it’s from some song somewhere, but nothing I intentionally played.
Hi I have a line 6 Helix Lt...and I'm new to kemper 😬 But im thinking of going more towards tube amps...idk the kemper is getting my attention cause people say it's more amp like..what do u guys recommend?? Sticking with my helix?? Or trying out this kemper player? 🤔
If you have the space and don't have a volume constraint, my recommendation is always a tube amp. If you're needing a quick set up and tear down then either the Helix or Kemper will do just fine. I don't think the Kemper is that much ahead of Helix to justify making the switch on amps alone... primarily because you would also be giving up the Helix effects as well.
@@averagejer oooh OK..the thing that I hate it's just that in the Helix it takes me long to do a great amp effect..idk if the kemper is just a plug and play solution.
Your not looking into the correct places... I have the HX Stomp, you have to know who actually does good IRs for the HX Stomp/Helix. Tonejunkie is one of them but he probably has one really good clean IR compared to other REALLY good ones. This also goes to the nay sayers ...YOU are not looking in the right places ..lol not serious just passionate@@esmeecirolozano7618
In response to it being hard yeah the Line 6 Helix/ Hx Stomp has a learning curve but there are really good cleans in the unit internally or with a good profiled IR.@@esmeecirolozano7618
I gotta admit, I'm totally unimpressed with how Kemper sounds. I had it once, didn't like it at all. Ampero Stomp II sounds probably better than this, and it's only 500 bucks. Cleans sound sweet though-

If the preset came with the effect on then it was on. I did not trigger any of the effects within the presets.

Very usefull, thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Nice! What’s the tune you are playing at 8:22?
Thanks for the vid! What app is this? Thank you 🙏
No problem! App is kemper rig manager
Can the player change rigs or presets seamless? with different amps and effects?
I no longer have my unit but from what I remember, yes it’s a seamless change between amps and effects.
the tune you were playing over distorted rigs, are they off covers or origianals? sounds nice!!

I want to download my presets but it doesn’t let me do it! 😢 do I have to delete some factory presets first to do that?? Thanks
Yes, you will have to clear out some presets before you can add your own. You can do this on the rig manager desktop app.
is it possible to see the tuner in the app? at least to have a clue of which note it is
I haven’t looked for it yet but in my initial fumbling through of the interface I did not see it. The tuner is a real disappointment.
@@averagejer thanks for replying
The technique may be "average" but the ability to just come up with stuff like that on the fly randomly is far above average.
