Thank you, great video. When I tried to release the fabric the way you showed I could not pull out the lower threads. How can I make it work?

I think the issue may be that you didnt snip the threads after pulling them out. we do it quickly in the video. Check out 8:06

Needs to be on Stitch length Four

Can I use normal cotton threads on my cover stitch for a stretch garment ?

Polyester thread is usually stronger than cotton, but since the cover stitch doesn't require strength, cotton should be okay.
