  • Here is my projected rotation for Duke Basketball for the beginning of the 2024-25 Season. I do expect this to change and I also think I will be wrong and I am sure Coach Scheyer will have a slightly different rotation. What do you think the rotation will be?

This year’s minutes distribution is not hamstrung by historical Duke rotations because Scheyer knows he’s got a special roster. Duke’s height and versatility lends to positionless basketball and an emphasis on defense.
    Here’s my minutes projection:
    C: Maluach 30, Ngongba 5
    PF: Brown 15, Gillis 15
    SF: Flagg 30
    PG: Proctor 30
    G/W/F: James 25, Foster 20, Knueppel 15, Evans 10, Harris 5
I anticipate fluctuations from game to game. Brown and Gillis will alternate starts at the four. In some games, Foster will start and James will be the first off the bench. The depth pieces at the “wing” could shuffle depending on matchup and development.

I agree on the positionless basketball and defensive emphasis for this team. Yeah I also think there will be fluctuations game to game.
I may be a bit higher on Foster than most. I think he could have a big year this year. I could see your rotation being something they move closer to, with a couple differences, in ACC play.
Lastly, I really liked Harris in high school and thought he would be buried on the depth chart but his 8/8 shooting performance in practice may force Scheyer to give him more minutes than I thought.

@@TalkingBall2 I’m high on Foster too, but he will be pushed. Sion James is more physical, is more disruptive on defense, and has a higher rim rate than Foster. But Caleb may be a better ballhandler and may have better court vision. It certainly will be interesting to see who emerges with more minutes in the backcourt and on the wings.

@@timothybullock5418 I agree it's a great thing to have as much internal competition as this Duke team does. I think we can see Foster and James playing together as well. My favorite part of Foster's game is his ability to score off the bounce in the close range - mid-range area.

Alot of mouths to feed, I would think that he would play 10 players deep , but I thought that coach k would do that sometimes and never went over 8 really.

Exactly how I feel. I could see them starting 10 deep but by ACC play only playing 8 sometimes 9

Every one is on the Kon bandwagon....how can you bench the big 10 sixth man of the year, and highly experienced player for guys that look good in practice?

Thanks for the comment MilfordEvans. I still had Kon coming off the bench. I could see Gillis getting more minutes than I gave him credit for and some starts but you said it yourself "sixth man of the year". Just because he comes off the bench doesnt mean he won't have a significant role. In a different way I see him as the Ryan Young for this year's team.

Today is THE DAY of SALVATION in ROMANS Chapter 10 Verse 8 to 10 said :
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Come to JESUS CHRIST before it’s too late 🕊️👑🤍
