Hi. It's been a long time since I last visited your channel, but I'm here to thank you and to let you know that your Ioniq videos inspired us to buy an EV for our next car. We did that; bought a Zoe, which turned out to be more efficient than Renault claimed it would be, and have enjoyed driving it for the past 40+ months. We'll never go back to a fossil-fuelled car, and certainly wouldn't even think about buying a hybrid, no matter how much they're being pushed at people right now. So, a sincere 'Thank-you'' for the work you have done to promote more efficient, and less polluting, forms of transport. 🙂👍
Very interesting, thank you. A mix of seeing places we will never visit and getting an update on ev bikes and ownership. Yes, please do more like this. In fact, do whatever you like, your content is always interesting. Paul UK.
Really interesting, since you are comparing the danish living to the english - both I dont know better than from a tourists perspective. So I got to learn everyday things in two cultures at once. Keep up the interesting videos!
Thank you. A real pleasure to wake up to your gentle tones critically appreciating a pleasant day’s ride. Here in Sydney, Australia I’m in 5km radius lockdown with no prospect of overseas travel for months, at least. This was lovely! So yes indeed, more please! 😊👍🏼
That looks like a really fabulous E bike . Its priced at €5700- €7759 at GreenAer in Dublin . I drive an Ioniq bev 28kwh bev myself and have an Orbea Katu EBike which i love to use as i can get up hills that i have difficulty with as i have bad knees. . At that price id say its really a car replacement as not many could afford something in that price range. Also what is it like to Insure a bike at that Price range in Denmark. Thanks for the lovely video.
Thanks. Yes, sadly this particular model is not cheap - and it’s about 100 pounds a year insurance as it’s a speed pedelec version. I think the innovation is happening in the States at the moment, where the Class 1, 2 and 3 regulations allow more breathing room for higher power motors, throttle use and so on. So for less than half of this price you can ride a comfortable, full suspension Super 73, Ariel, Onyx, Bolton e-Bike etc … some of them with dual batteries and good range, even using only throttle …
Wow, it's even higher than (my home and Denmark's neigbour country) Schleswig-Holstein's highest Mountain (Yes, mountain, see it's name! ^^) "Bungsberg", which is a mighty 167.4 metres tall ^^ Great you've indeed been switching to bikes upon moving to Denmark, I was already wondering if you might have a look at them, when you moved :-) Thanks for sharing this most exciting tour (okay, bit of joking here, but sill)! I loke your Vids and your calm style, more please :-) Oh btw, I'm still driving my Ioniq 28 EV, as here in Niedrsachsen (Lower Saxony) south of Hannover, relying on my bikes only (one being a Brompton, always waiting for me in my Ioniq's back) is unfortunately not an option.
Thanks. I agree it’s only in particular places and specific circumstances that bicycle only makes sense. It works for us now, and I’m enjoying the novelty. It may not continue to be the best choice, we’ll see. Thanks for the encouragement to share more ride videos too :)
@@ZeroTailpipe yeah, depends on where you live and the place's infrastructure. I lived in a big city (Hannover) for 13 years with no car (mostly bike), since 17 years on the country side and mostly going by car now :-/ Almost no public transport. But "thanks" to Covid: 100% home office forever, 100...300km by car / month (+ vacational journeys and rare other longer EV trips), rest by bike and pedes :-) Looking forward to see your next video already! And greetings to your lovely new home country, we've enjoyed being there often times in my childhood and youth
Hope to get back to it soon - tested a very quick/light touch workflow that may be doable with my hectic life/work schedule for the most recent Noah Cyrus concert vid upload…
Thanks. They’ve been doing test rides at an event in Oslo too - which sadly I couldn’t get to. The E-biking is still fun and convenient. I’m kinda craving more comfort though… so wondering whether to invest in a full suspension bike
@@ZeroTailpipe ive started looking into lightweight Ebikes for off road use and paragliding. Essentially cycling up some small mountains then gliding down. Alas lightweight bikes are not much lighter than they were 40 years ago. Im thinking i may have to build my own bike. Something good for getting up high and then flying down. Turns out light weight bikes cost 10x more than paragliders.
Hej. I would love to check out your bike and chat about it. I have an electric scooter to show you in return in case you are interested. Are you interested to meet up? Please let me know.
Thanks. Probably best to have a ride on a very similar model Alan has in the shop (I think) at eBike store Aarhus, right now. My schedule is going to be challenging these next few months with schools restarting and commuting again, sadly…

Hi Duncan, hope everything OK as not seen a video from you for a while.
Thanks. Yeah, doing all OK. Gonna try to do another video soon… :)
@@ZeroTailpipe cool 👍 look forward to it
I live 1600 ft above sea level down from where i used to live 4000 ft above with the rocky mountains off in the distance.
Cool! Where we used to be in the U.K. was not particularly elevated but was about 650ft or so, I think… :)
Highest hill in the country is 190m, you get rained on 4 times in a 70km bike ride. Denmark sounds just like home to me 😁 (the Netherlands).
;)

@@ZeroTailpipe Fair enough, maybe some other time
Hey !! You have disappeared 😮
Heading back to reality soon, promise - got overwhelmed with life/work…. Just about re-surfacing now :)
