- We went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and rode all the rides on a quiet day in late August 2023. In this vlog as well as talking about the rides, we chat about the possibility of a new season pass structure at Pleasure Beach.

Another great Vlog. I like the 'Hints & Tips' you give about getting the best from your day at the park, especially the paper tickets and riding the Big One later in the day. Pleasure Beach will need to tread very carefully with the pricing of their Season Pass during the cost of living crisis or it could come back and bite them in the wotsits.
Thank you, we like to give out tips that we've found to be helpful over the years so anyone watching has a good experience whenever they visit. We prefer to do this rather than continually review every coaster 😅

The problem with a third of a year pass is that it doesn't really benefit people that live long distances away. I am over 2 hours drive away and visit about 6 times a year but want to spread that over the whole season. As far as a full year season pass goes, I think £150 would be my absolute limit as a renewal price.
BPB have got to strike a balance between making it profitable but not losing all their pass holders
Why is scanning on to the rides a thing anyway, doesn't everyone have to pay to get in to the park.
An ongoing complaint from many
Agreed, I don’t like having to scan every time i want to go on a coaster. Especially when they don’t even scan your ticket half the time and slow operations down

Its nice to see the full offering at Blackpool Pleasure Beach again with the return of Valhalla this year and Big Dipper back from overhaul it certainly is one of the best seasons for the park. What project could be next for pleasure beach for me personally I would like to see Blackpool pleasure beach rennovate the FY4 area, maybe a new coaster to take back the height record for the UK with something like a Gerstlauer Hyper Coaster.

Great stuff! I noticed on Wednesday they’ve finally given up with the video portrait of the scary woman in the Ghost Train and replaced it with an a static portrait (the frame still shakes though).
Oh interesting! I should really go on the Ghost Train, it's been ages since I did it 😵
Really good VLOG guys. I know you guys have been doing these for a very long time now but this year the quality / chemistry is much better, I have been chuckling away far more. The film work with the interlaced off ride shots are much better as well this year.

I’m not a season pass holder but am considering next year depending on pricing, that is based on current costs though so will see what they do. I hate the seasonal idea, especially when you have such a bad summer on weather like this has been. Sure you’ll have the update as and when so will keep an eye on your channel 😊
I think they’ll offer seasonal and a full season pass (if that makes sense) 😅

Better weather than the 23rd 😬. Totally agree about the Nic Streak, I felt like I’d been assaulted when I git off it.
The park was definitely busy on the 23rd too a great atmosphere but long lines ( we were gifted tickets lucky) or it would have been a disappointment for getting on the rides .

Last three trips I've had to BPB I've managed to be first in the queue for the Big One (does involve a run) and never experienced an issue with sandbags. Back in June park opened at 11 and I was on it by 1105.
It's not that it's an issue, it's just something that slows down the queue in the morning and isn't a new thing.
Regarding the season passes, next year we were planning on stopping our merlin passes and renewing our BPB ones but if the prices turn out to be comparable it’ll be the merlin ones we continue - theres just so much more on offer for the price. Friends and family woukd be a massive bonus like my dad doesn’t come because he wouldn’t do most of the rides but BPB would more than make up for it in secondary spending on his grand kids and I wonder if theres a lot of families like this now the walk round ticket isn’t available where a season pass with F& F offer would be an attractive option 🤔
The walk round pass should be reintroduced, even if it's just for off peak days.
Going today can't wait I'm going to go on icon lots today lol

Hopefully pleasure Beach keep the season passes too incude fright nights Halloween all in one for around £180 as after 4 or 5 visits to the park then it's technically free there after too enter the park so the passes would definitely be worth it

Another top vlog. The season pass at present is a steal. I’ve been twice this year paying £75 so if I go next week a pass would have paid its way for me this year.

Great blog, we always use the tickets, they're easier, my daughter came off the grand national at the back and hurt her neck, but love the pb only live 20 mins away so we are always there, we always get season passes because their all yhe time and my daughter is a fan club member

season passes have got to go up, ppl talk about the walk around pass coming back etc and how the park should bring it back yet have a £99 pass for the year thats 2/3 trips n probz dont secondry spend in park n go out for food etc passes are far to cheap !
Yesterday I probably dropped about £80 in secondary spend (speedy pass, 2 meals, drinks etc), but I agree that pass holders can enter and exit the park without spending anything at all.
I was there I saw u multiple times!

It makes a massive difference 😊
They do need to introduce a ticket for non riders to walk around. We went as a family last week and the grandparents opted out because £30 each to watch the kids on the rides is a non starter. Why do you need to scan a code when riding? If you’re in the park you’ve obviously paid so why the extra jumping through hoops?
Data collection (unfortunately)
Is Big One capable of running with 3 trains at once I know in order to do that there needs to be more block sections than there is trains and I believe Big one does have 4 block sections Station, Lift Hill, Mid Course and Final Brakerun.
Unfortunately hasn’t run 3 trains with the public on since 2001, it however was regularly tested on 3 trains before opening up to around 2017.

In away I agree with the price increase. But cause we paid for the season, we are able to have more spend per head when we visit, plus I hate making sandwiches,

Great vlog loved it... I have a solution for icon. Have an extra train with just Enzo experience. Seperate que and a fiver extra to ride.. Come on pleasure beach sign me upto your marketing team.. Also get rid of ice blast and replace with a bigger drop tower and close steeple chase and replace with a themed adult log flume rather than the one in nickland. What do u recon?.
Another idea.. Bring Disney on ice to pleasure beach it would sell out 2 shows a day throughout the summer season EASY...Amanda Thompson I know you read get them booked😅
ICON can’t run on 4 trains
@@yourexperienceguide I was thinking more 3 trains.. They need to do something as running at best 60% capacity. You know yourself Scott that's not a great buisness model. Especially when we all want new rides which cost fortunes. Icon still could of been marketed better as is a great ride. Look at how much was spent on marketing the big one.

ON THURSDAY IT WAS ONLY 3,600 BEFORE WALK INS SO IT WAS QUIET. FRIDAY HAD 4,800 BEFORE WALK INS
