For a better execution, I always listen to Perlman's performance and, as performancer of Nigun, I can say that for kids of my age... It's a little bit harder playing it than I expected. I mean... Nigun it's not just a "piece", no... It's more than that. It expresses all the pain, and all the tears, and all the bad things happened in the war. I hope you get what I'm saying... oddly enough, Bloch appears to have been lucky (or wise) enough to have left Europe for America prior to the outbreak of WWI...,he ended his days sheltered from the winds on the Oregon coast in a little remote town named Agate Beach - could he hear the stories, echoing in his head? The sound of the mad waves of the North Pacific may have provided some solace, hopefully.
It doesn't seem so complicated... for violonists. I'm 20 years old, I play the piano and I have never played this piece (but play together is not really easy).
