It's about $12,000 USD but It's actually pretty cheap considering how much animations cost to contract out. A single character with all movement types needed for say a 3rd person shooter would be around $2-5k. and if doing cut scene animations this thing would pay for itself in a couple minutes of footage. For a full game with story animations inbetween gameplay, enemy multiple enemy movements etc, this would save you a ton.

How much does it cost? I always hate it when companies don’t put the price of something that’s clearly expensive on their website but instead force you to give them your information in order to request a quote.. I’m guessing somewhere around $5000-$7500

@@RobbertScholten Things that track you by ordinary cameras are starting to be possible, with machine learning algorithms. With multiple cameras set up in set locations in an area, it should get working pretty well I think, you'd just have to stay in the area they cover and not be too far away.

I've been testing one of the earliest inertial mocap systems in 2008. It had too much problems to use it in most types of a real tasks. Seems that the main problem of inertial systems still presents - dirty animations that needs a lot of time to be fixed. I think that inertial systems can be more efficient only by using hybrid technology with some optical position tracker. But some simple animations (without any actions that needs moving character root by Y axis) can be made pretty fast and they will look passably.

this version of the suit looks like is working way better than the older iterations. I've had the "pleasure" of fiddling around with the older suit and the sensors were completely bonkers for the feet (animation actor would have to be using flat footwear so that the sensor was completely leveled). also it was a bit more restricted in terms of capture, think you had to setup a "safe zone" with the older suit.
I think I lost at least full hour on the 1st setup + a full day for capturing motion and it still wasn't VERY good.
