Honestly, this truly feels like listening to a friend going on and on about their favorite book (or at least a book they're very passionate about). And I love that vibe so much! Like I mentioned before, I've been keeping up with these books for years, coming up on 12 now, and normally I just keep my love for it to myself and my own bubble. I literally have a journal in which I just note down my feelings about the books, the characters etc. I do tend to share my favorite scenes with my best friend, I've made her low-key love Magnus half as much as I do (which is a feat in itself, since Magnus is my favorite character in literature in general), but since she hasn't read the books herself I can't go all out on her. So; videos like these always just cheer me up, and I think that yours have been my favorite in this genre because it's just so clear that you love these characters. Anyway, I'm only 57 minutes into this video, so I might comment again once I'm fully done to give you more of my thoughts and feelings ^^

I haven't revisited this series in a hot minute so I had forgotten how much of a potty-mouth Jace had when he was all emo and tortured. I love these recaps because they remind me how much I adore the TMI gang and their relationships with one another (excluding Clary and Jace in their sibling era). It's hilarious to me that both Izzy and Alec date Downworlders who are wayyy too old for them in this book, like, they rly are made of the same stuff 😭
The relationships are the best part especially because every single relationship makes the reader go “oh, um, are we sure about this?” Hahaha it’s been so fun to revisit this series
Argh, I want to comment on soooo many things in this video, but also don't want to write an essay. It basically all boils down to: God, I love these videos. With lines like "Valentine watched RuPaul's Masterclass" and random cuts to you casually flexing gymnatics (?) moves, how could I not? [Not to mention the heartfelt check-in at the very beginning]

Alright, I finally finished the video and I loved every single minute of it. From the humor of it all, to the way you summarize the plot in almost the exact same way I would. Honestly, this is going into my drawing playlist, along with the first video, because I will want to revisit this. Speaking of drawing; once I finally finish my fairy Bucky (winter soldier) drawing, I am in fact going to draw Magnus and Alec. These videos along with me rereading the books (I just finished the third one last night) just sparked that flame of inspiration again. I have no idea when I will finish it, so it might not be in time to e-mail it to you, but thanks for helping that spark come back either way ^^ I hope me commenting twice will somehow help with the algorithm a bit, since this video deserves to be seen by more people. it's quality content for sure

That's so considerate, but you should definitely make them! I know someone has done them, but I think with these types of videos, definitely give credit where you can, but also I think it's the more the merrier for discussion, so definitely make them! My plan was to do the 6 books in TMI and then find a new series (if I can get the channel up to where I want it). And it's always great to create something and put it out there!! Good luck!

Cari Can Read did the TMI full recaps and I saw like after I had been working on mine for 6 months or so and decided to still keep working and put it out as long as people ALWAYS give credit (ofc) but like it's never a waste of time to make something you care about and put it out there! It's fun and brave and all that so seriously have fun!

It was a nightmare for me, I didn't consume any TMI content for the year that I worked on these before posting, it was so difficult as someone who's always watching something from the TMI world. I avoided all the YT videos as well to make sure I could keep all of my own takes, so best of luck!!

I really like your video. That being said, I don’t think you should use ai images. It’s incredibly damaging and disrespectful to artists. Not to mention it can only hurt people’s perception of your channel. I think it would be better for you to use photos from the movie or tv show or ask creators if you can use their fanart and credit them. This could only benefit you as people will recognize the actors and click on your video. With fanart, the artists could also promote your videos on their pages.
Thanks so much for sharing your opinion and in a respectful way; I felt awful realizing that I hadn't considered that when I had spent a year on these videos trying to get everything right, and I missed the mark on using AI. I really am sorry for not thinking about the other perspectives and I hope creators still feel supported here going forward.
