    Talaat and Tai,
What an amazing and inspirational interview! Half a mil! This is motivating even for someone in me and my wife's generation, the baby boomers.

I love your story. Sent it to my husband so he can listen. At the same you inspire me, I also feel panicked and discouraged because I'm older. I'm 48 years old. Most debt free stories I hear are people much younger than me and my husband. I wish we woke up sooner. Today I'm scheduled to Door Dash and that money is going straight to debt.

@@ASunnySideUpLife You are VERY welcome! Your story is amazing, and very inspiring. What I appreciate the most is your willingness to share the fact that you and your husband admitted you made mistakes and took the necessary steps to remediate your situation. God Bless You and your family! I wish you much prosperity in the days to come.

Definitely one of the best interview ever! There journey is truly awesome and inspirational. I liked when she said it is about being a lot by yourself, you not at the restaurant or in vacations , you’re just at work or at home. That is so true. Everyone start this journey for different reason and go through different obstacles but this part is a common step am sure. I rarely comment but this interview really lift me up this morning. Listening to you Talaat and Tai almost every morning now. That’s my kick-off lol, All the way from France (yeah you have frenchie followers ahahah).

Absolutely this is one of the most intriguing, inspiring and informative interviews. Mrs. Womack shares doable steps that can be duplicated on one’s path to debt freedom. Acknowledging the necessary mind shift about what true wealth looks like and steps to laying a solid financial foundation for our family is priceless. Thank you to both of you for sharing this info.
Now I am following Mrs. Womack on her site, as well. Thank you Mrs. Womack for being such a woman of wisdom.

Sami, thanks for sharing your success and helping a bunch of us staying motivated on our journeys. I'm on baby step 6, but like you also mentioned, can't really talk to friends and family about the journey ... they just think I'm completely crazy for depriving myself. I'm a single parent for two teenage daughters, and we do not spend money on all-inclusive vacations, eating out, shopping ... it is a sacrifice today, but it will enable me to help them with a down payment one day. And it gives me options in the future to do a job for other reasons than collecting a pay check. Being a Dave Ramsey follower I live by the words "the borrower is a slave to the lender" - and I would rather have my freedom than shiny new things.

Getting rid of $500,000 of debt in 4 years sounds impressive. But did she say how much their annual income was? That seems like an important number to get the whole picture of how they did it.

Obviously you have to make big money to have all that to begin with, two houses, land etc so yes I'm assuming a large income plus they had those assets to sell which makes it much easier. If you make middle income and not much assets, its a diff. Story. I like a good story but realistically if you don't make big money or have lots of assets to sell off ....

Yes, when we purchase our next home we're planning to get a mortgage with about 20% down and then pay off the mortgage as fast as possible (5-10 years).

Fantastic job.. Now keep going and investing. If you can do nearly $500k in 4 years your should be financially independent easily within 10 years. We had $140k in debt 22 years ago and now have over $3M. I retired 5 years ago..:)
