create a new folder and initialize git in the folder, then you copy the frontend and backend folders into the newly created folder, then you push the new folder to github.
Or better still let's do one application that will have different modules like task management systems with authentication - Frontend(React) and DRF(backend) . Let us make use of cookie instead of localstorage for storing the refresh and access tokens
