Did you ever get it? I feel like the metal splitting could've solved with some thick washers.

No, the "H" brace is just sitting in the garage and the control arm brace is my hood prop for the mk3 🤣. But yeah I think it could have, but I would need to run longer control arm bolts. Maybe I'll revisit it with new hardware
