Why is it that I can’t find or get an answer from / about VCA whether this will fit on an innovative marine 30 Long return. And if so, what size and what connectors? Would be nice to have some compatibility information.

everyone asking what size .. cant you just use a tape measure and buy the adapter/fitting according to your return outlet size ? it surely cant be that difficult.
Yes you could but for $20 to buy it.. vs hours of modeling it... prob easier to just buy one :P Effort vs reward! I had that same thought 6 months ago then decided its not worth the time given the price point :)
