- Here's the FIRST and EXCLUSIVE IN-DEPTH SHIP FEATURE onboard M/V Lite Cat 2 of Lite Ferries
Let us take you onboard on this video to know what to expect when you will be soon sailing the M/V Lite Cat 2.
This state-of-the-art RORO Catamaran vessel is designed by the world-renowned: Sea Transport Solutions Australia and is built in Batam, Indonesia.
The M/V Lite Cat 2 is an IACS-classed vessel registered under the Lloyd's Register of London. She has a length overall of 60.00 meters and a breadth of 20.00 meters. The vessel is powered by 4 units of Yanmar Marine Diesel Engines with a cruising speed of 16 knots
She left Batam, Indonesia last July 13, 2023 and arrived last July 17 2023 at 9:00 PM in the evening. She is now docked in the Cebu Pier 2 Area where she will be subject to government regulatory permits and customs inspection.
According to sources, the M/V Lite Cat 2 will soon serve the Cebu-Tubigon and v.v. route, offering an unparalleled sea travel experience the true Bol-anon way.

I was thinking hindi ba kaya dito gawin yang roro ship na yan sa pinas ? Ang daming shipyard dito bakit sa indonesia pa cia pinagawa di ba..... hopefully mga local shipping providers dito e sa pinas na magpagawa ng mga ferry ships para pinoy ang makakakuha ng job orders ant trabaho. Involve pala australian designers dito so mas maganda pa kayang gawin jan ng austal philippines sa cebu.

Imdonesia . Its like a slap in our face. They dont give full support to the filipino marine ship builders welders. While almost the whole world especially europe and america is manned and serviced by filipino sea farers . Sometimes its unfair for us. We have to plan to overtake indonesia and match south koreas economy . This is a good start to build everything we need we just some transfer of technology and training
Kaya nga e its a big slap on our face. Our government is not protecting our industry..... or even our local business companies is not engaging in helping local industry to thrive.... i dont get it.... philippines is 3rd or fourth largest ship builders..... our business tycoons here is helping foreigners to get the job instead helping local filipino manpower. This is outrageous.... dapat mapansin ito ng dti, ng marina.... this roro ship can be built here locally. They must force this local maritime companies to buy and locally build vessels.

fastcat is better so far sa tubigon-cebu vv route. sa speed at services. mas maganda naman interior niya at seats, comfortable. kahit mas maaga yung departure time niya sa fastcat eh parang halos magkasabay lang sila pagdating lalo na sa 30 min interval. lalarga 1pm, darating mga 3pm or more pero sa fastcat 1.5 hrs pa rin (weather considered)
