Ashlee, as a musician and educator your content has been invaluable to me. Your Canvas series has helped countless of educators during this pandemic. We were thrust into distance learning and little direction and your videos were a helpful ray of light for our VAPA department for sure. Keep doing what you are doing and the best of luck to you. Here’s to the next 100,000 subscribers.

Thank you so much for this comment. You have no idea how much it means to me especially coming from a fellow educator in the arts! I appreciate your support and hope to continue offering valuable content for canvas and online teaching. Is there anything I haven't covered yet that would be helpful for you right now? Happy to add it to my video topic list!

You have helped me a lot! I was informed to teach a class online using Canvas and I had been teaching for years face to face and had never done my teaching online. I was completely lost, then I saw your videos and I was finally able to organize my class and teach remotely. You have helped me immensely. Thank you so much!

Ashlee, Thank you so much. You have been a mentor to me and your TH-cam class has helped me go from 1 video to 13. I have been creating and uploading weekly since I bought your wonderful and valuable course! Thank you for getting me started. :)

You are so welcome! I've been watching your progress and I so inspired the content you are creating and consistently putting out a new video every week for the past couple months!!! 👏 Every single video I've noticed that you add a new element or up your SEO and my fav part about your content is the introduction. That opening, hook and establishing your authority is so genuine and authentic. I'm so proud of you and honored that I have been able to guide you down this road even in the smallest way. We all need a cheerleader on the sidelines. 😀 You may not always notice but I'm there shaking my pom poms and cheering you on! Thanks for you lovely comment and support.

Yes! congrats to you too!!! 👏 20 Canvas courses wow that's an achievement right there. I'm so glad you feel like they are getting better and better every time. That's the wonderful part about using Canvas either for online, hybrid or as additional resources for in person classes, you can continue to add, edit, update, and re work the course content every semester. Thanks for your feedback and for your support with my channel and content. I sure appreciate you.

Hi Ashlee , I found you last Friday on TH-cam and I am so pleased I did! I love the humor you bring in, the total honesty, the Real human behind the camera. You have inspired me so much already as I start my journey online...I feel daunted looking ahead at my road, but listening to you has really helped me and I feel like I can do this! Fingers crossed! Lol! This is my first time commenting on TH-cam. Thank you for your honesty (again) in this video "regrets and lessons learned ". Mary-Jane x

Hi Mary Jane! I'm honored that your first time commenting on TH-cam was in regards to this video. Thank you for your lovely and supportive words. We are all doing our very best with this new online world and all of us (even myself!) get overwhelmed. Our journey's are all different and sometimes it's just nice to know that the people we look for guidance are just as human with ups and downs. You can totally do this! Be patient with yourself and let me know if I can every offer help along the way. Cheering you on!

Hello Ashlee, thank you for all your content on Canvas. This time last year our school in China was looking to start the new School year with Canvas as a learning tool. As the Head of Business Department my job was to organise, plan and setup all the resources for my teachers. When i found your TH-cam Videos on Canvas I used them to help me plan and find ways to improve my content. i also shared the link to other teachers in my school and the training offices for Canvas. So, i just want to say thank you for helping me.

I'm so glad I was able to be of help for your during this challenging time of switching over to Canvas! That's exactly why I started posting videos though I had no idea how many people it would help. Thank you for taking the time to let me know. Sometimes TH-cam can feel like you are putting all this work into content and it's going down a deep dark hole. It's so nice to know that it reaches people and offers value! Is there anything you or your fellow teachers could use help with right now that I could create content around? Let me know and I'd be happy to add it to my video topics list.

Glad to hear that and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. My goal is to offer as much support as I can to fellow educators and teachers during this time with the drastic switch to online and virtual learning. How is everything going with making that switch for you now? Wishing you all the best and I'll keep adding new content every week to my channel. Hope it helps!

In the case of long-answer questions in a quiz on canvas, can the professor see what all i have typed out/and deleted before actually submitting my answer? What I mean by this is, if I am writing a long-answer question and I keep editing it (adding and deleting things), before actually moving onto the next question or submitting my quiz, will the professor be able to see all of these edits? or just the completed answer? Thank you so much in advance!

    • @VirtualTeachingPro
      @VirtualTeachingPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

They can just see what you have typed once it is submitted and completed. They don't see any of the edits ....unless you submit a draft.

    G’day Ashlee,
Your earnestness in this recording displays insight, reflection and critical thinking, with a critical reasoning cycle evident, a demonstration of higher order thinking. I see elements of John’s model for the reflection aspect with its additional ‘you as an observer’.
It is interesting how you see yourself as an actor, with other skills such as an educator.
I view you as an educator whose sessions are researched, planed (ILO’s obvious) and one who evaluates her work. Secondarily, someone who also has outstanding acting skills. Reflected by the outcome of, I created ‘…tutorial for my colleagues and just sending them to…’, and they caught on!
I have viewed many of your videos and found then extremely helpful.
I work in education and last year, due to covid-19, we had to convert from F2F with Canvas/Moodle to completely on-line within two weeks, and have included this option since. While learning outcomes do not change, the delivery method did. I, too, make an effort to prepare and plan my sessions, including being interactive, using multimedia, group discussions etc, as much as possible. I have learnt so much from your You-tubes, not only by your content but by the way you connect with your audience yourself. Thank you. Demonstrated by my students and colleagues’ feedback, you have helped me to delivery education to my students. My students engage in my sessions and when knowledge sharing, colleagues have commented on the knowledge I’ve passed on. Much gained from you.
I enjoy and gain from your TH-cams, value your knowledge and admire your talent. Wonderful uploads.
Please keep it up - you have a ripple effect, perhaps unaware of!
    Warm regards,
    Robyn Manning

Thank you so very much for this comment. I truly appreciate you taking the time to say this and you have no idea how much it means to me to know that I have been able to help fellow educators all over the world. Thank you for your support and feedback. I think I've spent so much of my life as a performer (mostly in musical theatre) working professionally for so long that when I made the additional job to educator I always still like actor first because that has what I've known most of my life. l went to grad school and became a college professor as a way to make extra income and support my job as an actor. As we all know, acting is a gig type lifestyle that is often unreliable and unpredictable plus I love teaching musical theatre at the college level since that is still my career. I've been recently making the switch to more teaching and coaching and less performing but that is due to Covid and the drastic halt to our industry in theatre. I"m so thankful to have stumbled upon TH-cam as an additional means to offer support to teachers and also create another job for myself. At this point I think I could have a dozen or so job titles! Thank you again and wishing you the very best this academic year. If I can be of any help please don't hesitate to reach out or send an email. Best, Ashlee

@@VirtualTeachingPro Hi Ashlee, You are welcome. Your posts have assisted me with in delivering content to my students immensely. I am a lecturer at one of our universities here. You skills as an educator are sound. I hope you enjoy the cross over to education. You prepare, know your content and deliver in a professional yet personal way. We are not robots, people skills are as important as knowledge base. You have both in my view. Thanks from Australia
