Lataji voice is divine, it smoothes your soul. We just listen her voice irrespective of what she sings or what music is played on. Voice dominates everything. Singers like Suman Kalyanpur, Anuradha Paudwal, Shreya Ghosal and some others have great melancholic voices which compliments Lataji's songs. They sound better when they sing Lataji's songs. Lataji's songs were custom made by music maestro like Madan Mohan, O P Nayar, Shankar Jaikisan, Laxmikant Pyarelal with full orchestra etc.
The best trebute is when aprentis do better then his guru and Shreya did with extra melodous voice and when she sung چہرہ یہ بدل جائے گا literally shreya is the only face to sing her song.
