Great video Conley, the electric bike people mentioned is a great idea, also buy a portable bike rack with quick releases that you can move from tractor to tractor or onto impliments so you can take it with you where ever you go. Kind of fun and different feeling being your own boss with nobody around !
When I was in 9th grade I started making lister rows. That took a lot of thinking to keep the rows strait. I used a JD 720. The lister was 3 40" furrows. We planted 2 rows on the bed. That was in the 1950's. I can still feel the clods being kicked up by the tires.
I saw where someone mentioned an electric bike. The guys over on the Ivers Farms channel have a couple and they love them. This is my first visit to your channel. I'll be a regular!
Odd question.... did they ever get the wild fires under control in Texas? News doesn't say anything about them anymore here We got 25 to 35 mph winds with 55+ gusts tomorrow coming after the morning snow 2-4"..... fun times
If you have money then you will enjoy farming 😉 But if you don't have money (ordinary people/lower middle class) then you will understand what is farming 🧺 It's so much hard work, then market rate problem, nature problems and so on
We have a strip till and we used it for one field of peanuts last year and it worked pretty good. But only because we didn’t have cotton on there the previous year. Volunteer cotton destroys peanuts so that’s why we plow to get rid of it
I have a sandy patch of ground that will grow peanuts, otherwise, our soils are too heavy. Cotton doesn’t work in the corn belt. We all do it the way that works for us, but as a zealot no tiller, cover crop guy, that plowing is like watching a baby get murdered or something. But I get it.
This is beautiful. I dream of having atleast 5-10 tractors and start a tillage company to help Till the land for smallholder farmers in my community at a fee. If land prep is done early and of good quality, I believe our Small-scale farmers can improve on yields for most of their crops. This is really beautiful 😍
This is one of the best videos I've seen about agriculture technology
14:40 hmmm i dooooo wonder lolol just found your channel, and man im liking your videos :D i grew up a city boy but have always loved agriculture
Haha thanks I appreciate it I’m glad you’re liking them

Great video again Conley. Nothing beats the smell of freshly turned soil.
280 is loving it. Sound great!
Worked in cenral valley California back in the 80s makin rows with markers. The first line with paperbags. Took quiet a skill to keep it straight🤠
We used to do it by looking at power lines easier to see lol a lot more difficult that gps
Awesome video..
Thats a nice looking 8R..... ,👍
Thanks
Beautiful land and great laying off rows a lot straighter than I ever did with my Super a A one row at a time.😃.
Technology sure has come a long way
Conley great video buddy, i'm still waiting to get out in the fields, rain rain and more rain. 😀
You can always send it this way if you don’t want it lol
Great video Conley
Nice rows. The weather helps you to. Keep up the good work!!??.
Thanks
What dies the 18-wheeler flatbed hauling round bales have to do with long, straight rows?
Cotton modules not hay
Do people still disc bedders? Do y'all widen the sway blocks?
I feel like the disk bedders are a thing of the past I don’t see anyone using them anymore
Awsome video. Sounds like you needed an electric bike on the tractor to help you go back and forth. Know the feeling
That would be a great idea
Gas powered dirtbike would be way better😂
My son uses a gator if less than 10 miles

The fires were like 4-5 hours NE of us so I have no idea. It was weird that the news just completely stopped talking about it.
Great job listing Conley
Thanks
