- Barbara Bonney
Barbara Bonney is one of the leading lyric sopranos of her generation. With over 100 recordings to her name, her artistry has been documented for generations of singers to come. Her Sophie (Rosenkavalier) is legendary the world over, as are her Mozart roles of Susanna (Figaro), Parmina (Zauberflote). Ms. Bonney devoted much of her 30 year career to Lieder, and continues to sing Lied-Recitals and Orchestral Concerts. She is a devoted mentor of the new-generation-singer, and is currently Professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, as well as guest professor of the Royal Academy of Music in London.
For Ms. Bonneys current concert schedule and more I invited to visit her official web-site at: www.barbarabonn...

"Laudate Dominum"
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Laudate Dominum omnes gentes
Laudate eum, omnes populi
Quoniam confirmata est
Super nos misericordia ejus,
Et veritas Domini manet in aeternum.
Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper.
Et in saecula saeculorum.
Amen.
Praise the Lord, all nations;
Praise Him, all people.
For He has bestowed
His mercy upon us,
And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and forever,
and for generations of generations.
Amen.

Beautiful...brings tears to my eyes...God does exist!
Gifted singer! her voice is a legacy for every generation to come.
BB's voice is truly a gift from God.
This must be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard...
Mozart, always one of my passions, and no work of his exceeds the Laudete. Bonney I discovered a mere 2 years ago and quickly fell in love with, what a singer &/or angel is supposed to sing like--and be like. Whether or not there is a God, and whatever He may be, He exists for me while I hear this. I cannot congratulate you sufficiently on this brilliant accompanying slide show, and thank you so much for putting this together! Apparently there are still kindred souls out there.....
Thank you so much, Elizabeth. Barbara is a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. Thank you for sharing your kind words with us. Best wishes to you and the Kenyan people.
You just can't beat a Barbara Bonney performance!!!
My favorite soprano.. this is heavenly!
Wonderful, thank you for sharing with us! My father sent it to me since he heard it being sung at a local church at Vespers, and listening to it now just gave me a few moments of pure bliss during a workday halfway round the world in Beijing.
Amazing! My favorite soprano!
Thank you very much Elizabeth.
The beautiful of the Earth and Ms Bonney's voice are two of the most precious gifts from God.
What beautiful, sweet and perfect!!!
Soothes my soul!
I agree...Ms. Bonney's voice is

It is my great pleasure to share this video on You Tube.
But the credit goes to God, Ms Bonney and W.A. Mozart.
Merci :)
The combination of
Mozart & Bonney = Superb music.
@acatalano2641 Thanks for the lovely images. I am not a believer in Giod, but hearing Mozart always makes me wonder......
@tomfroekjaer
God bless Herr Mozart and Ms. Bonney for sharing their God-given artistry with the world.
Hello
'The Radiant Voice of Barbara Bonney' CD
This CD is a perfect compilation of Ms Bonney's works.
Thank you.
Love this! Not so sure about the Ecclesiastical Latin pronunciations, but I was simply taught differently. From a musical standpoint, her interpretation of this is amazing! Love the clarity of her voice, not overdone at all, and the prayerful tone is spot on. Good balance with the choir, too. Probaby one of the best-- if not THE best-- interpretations of this work that I have heard. Brava!
Inmaculada interpretación, es un angel que viene con su dulce canto a nosotros
Gracias!
Exquisitely beautiful - Bonney's voice, Mozart, and the video. Thank you so much.
Beautiful and meaningful images compliment this magnificent performance. BRAVA!!!!

This is the song I want to hear at my funeral...
(OK, maybe I won't be able to at that moment, but you know what I mean).
@Vereisky
Ms Bonney's version is incomparable.
Thank you.
Beautiful. Overall, the best. Nothing sounds forced.
BB's voice is magnificent :)
@ximenadore
Sra. Bonney se ve y canta como un ángel.
@plutusplutus
Ms Bonney and W.A. Mozart = Heaven :)
I agree with you 100%.
Thank you.
I agree...thank you taking time to view the video and comment on it.
@coralarch
I will go further....
Barbara Bonney and Lucia Popp
Both are and were extraordinary singers :)
For god is the son and the sun...amen
@petrovatrear
God does exist and I thank him for all that he has given to his people.
Very lovely performance, and nice sentiment in the images, some very pretty natural scenes that amplify the reverence in Mozart's music. However you wouldn't want to be in that beam shown in the next to last image showing it coming from the jet of M87 in the Virgo Cluster. That is a high energy beam coming from its super massive black hole. It that was pointed at us, we would be fried in a minute! The Latin with translation was nice, thanks.
@tomkellycartoons
Thank you for the lovely comment.
Ms Bonney's voice plus W.A. Mozart = is a God-sent to His people on earth :)
@linsusanr
Your welcome.
God gave us this beautiful earth and His love...we all should sing His praises :)
Thank you for your comment.
@VonFleckenstein
If this song is sung at your funeral
you will surely hear it. You will be
alive in a different dimension.
Thank you.
@L4zy1

@hippyhorselover
God's creations are awesome!
@kf9as
Thanks for the favorable comments. BB is an expert Mozartian singer, no one can hold a candle to her interpretation of Laudate Dominum.
theres just something about her voice, Cecilia Bartoli's voice, and Philippe Jaroussky's voice that just speaks to me. Simply beautiful. Thank you for the upload ^.^
@delphicus
Barbara Bonney voce è un dono di Dio:)
Yes, heaven on earth :)
@delphicus
Ti assicuriamo che tua madre è udito Laudate Dominum cantato da un coro di angeli in cielo. Grazie.
Mozart, as suggested in the now legendary film Amadeus, seems to have had a line to the Supreme Being (God or whatever you want to call it). At least this music is divine as is the very empathetic performance of Barbara Bonney. Such a find - absolute beautty.
@CanadaPisces
We all can use a piece of heaven down here on earth :)
Thank you for your kind words.
Your welcome.
Thank you for viewing and commenting
favorably on Ms Bonney's video.
@kimseongkon
God is most certainly alive.
He has given us this beautiful earth
and people to love. It is right to do
our best to take care of both.
@kf9as It's the German pronunciation of the Latin, which is why it sounds a little different from the Church Latin. Notably, the "qu" combination is pronounced with a "v" sound so that quoniam, for instance, sounds like "kvoniam".
You might also mention how uplifting the images are.
@secretfire79
From all over the world but I believe the mountains are in Austria.
@VonFleckenstein
You are very welcome
and thank you for the
compliment, it is most
appreciated :)
@bridgette751

Vaya con Dios:)
@bruce122046
For me God is represented by the beam of light shining his love and grace upon the earth and his people.
Thank you my friend :)
When the song is written by WA Mozart and sung by Barbara Bonney then yes, 'most beautiful' applies. Please check out the rest of my channel for more beautiful song, Lied, arias by WAM and BB. Thank you.
Me 2 :) Thank you for taking the time to view the video :)
@zsan750

Grazie a Dio.
@BasilMcHerb1
Sono d'accordo con te:)
@lmitt
My friend. There is a God. He created Mozart, you and me, this beautiful universe and all that is good in the world.
Praise the Lord, all nations;
Praise Him, all people.
For He has bestowed
His mercy upon us,
And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and forever,
and for generations of generations.
Amen.
She's as good as Lucia Popp, and that is high praise indeed.
@SerasxAlucard
