In Philippines we just simply stir fry okra with onion, garlic, oyster sauce, and seasoning. It's yummy. But I really like to learn how to cook this in shaa Allah. 😍
@@janeyomar , okay so let me try. Take Okra, wash it well. Then cut it in length of 1 inch and remove the top and bottom portion as evident in the video. Quantity of Okra would be 1/2 kg. Second take 2-3 medium sized onion (go for the pink one not the whitish one) and chop them to the size as shown in the video. Now take some oil (3-4 teaspoon) and fry the onion till it has a tinge of golden brown (dont burn it, max 2 minutes). Now add the okras in the same pan and keep frying it till the onion changes color to brown (again make sure not to burn) on high flame and then take it out separately. Now add two three spoons of oil again, put zeera (cumin) one tea spoon full (or a little more ), carom seed(ajwain) two pinch and heing (astofatida) one pinch. Be quick here because these are dry spices and will burn quickly. put ginger and garlic finely chopped and you may add greeen chilli if you want it spicey Then add one teaspoon of dry red chilli powder (again be careful not to burn it, better put few spoons of water) , and then immediately add tomato purey then stir to fry a little , after that add dry spices like haldi (turmeric) half spoon, coriander powder, garam masala powder one spoon ( check with any indian grocery shop) and of course salt. You may add a little water to ensure it doesnt burn. keep stirring and frying till the oil separates from the masala curry (see video for elaboration) then put curd and cream (of milk) well stirred in the masala curry and again stir fry as shown in video then you should have the curry ready. Add the fried okra and onion , cover the lid and you may add little water if you feel it is too dry. Let it steam till it becomes soft and eatable (five to 7 minutes) it is ready to be served. You may add lemom juice if you want it to be tingy.
