You can replace it with an used pre-2017 LG 6000 BTU Air Conditioner like the LW6013ER (2013) or LW6016R (2016, last model) for example as thoses are well made with a black plastic divider instead of Styrofoam. Their newer post-2017 6000 BTU LGs unfortunately have styrofoam, but their LW8023ERSM 8000 BTU models is still available on the oficial LG website and it still kinda have the black plastic divider, althought it partially have styrofoam on the bottom part of the divider, but LG is still better quality than Haier or Midea.
The reason why older Friedrichs were great it was because they were actually made by LG.
Unfortunately, newer Friedrich are made by TCL which is another chinese company, similar to Haier and Midea.

@@zenozer0themechanicalchann720 All of the 6000 BTU models that have the vertical control panel to the left do not have styrofoam. It was produced from the Goldstar era until 2016, LW6016R being the very last one.
I would recommend you of trying to find a LWHD6500SR, LW6012ER or LW6013ER because these were made before 2014 and they won't default to Energy Saver every time you turn it on.
The LW6014ER, LW6015ER, and LW6016R does have the auto-default Energy Saver thing.

I recommend a LG air conditioner with heat because his portable heaters are going bad and doesn’t work well and doesn’t put out lots of heat air so I told him I go with LG 7600 BTU window air conditioner with heat pump because my grandma is getting those because her heaters have trouble putting out heat and still gets cold in her house so my local Home Depot has 3 in stock so my grandma can get them for the bedroom front room and back living rooms

@@justinlyonsPawPatrol I actually saw that LG AC with the Heat mode in a Home Depot in Orlando and the model is LW8023HR. It seems to be good quality.

Remember that the LG 7600 BTU window air conditioner has a heat pump so you can use that for all season
