Or any siblings for that matter. So sad. I saw the documentary, "Three Identical Strangers" where triplets had been separated and had no idea until they were 19. The adoption agency did it on purpose as part of a social experiment they agreed to conducted by a psychologist and were compensated for it - pure evil. The adoptive parents said they would have adopted all of them together if they had known.
they are so lucky that they were both adopted by the parents who have the same nationality and to the same country, so they speak the same language and have the same culture so that they can still communicate with each other with no problems
Of thousands of orphans, 99% remain in the country and this twin both adopted by Americans living in America. Isn’t it fishy? They could be subjects/ victims of twins studies that used to be very common back then. They’d study them through the parents, through the schools and psychologists all working together secretly. 🕵🏻♀️
I have a twin sister and we're always together. I just can't imagine how my life would be like if we were separated. My twin was a bit sick when we were about 7-8 so we had to live separately in different countries for a few months while she was being cured. I was with our dad and she was with our mum. Those months were the hardest and every time I saw a plane flying over I thought she was in there. It was equally as hard for her as well. Every time she passed a toy store over there, she'd buy me something. She wouldn't even buy a toy for herself. We're now 27 and we get along so well. She has a 6 year old daughter whom I love so much and I always make sure I'm in her life as much as possible. We really live the best life! Being twins is a blessing from God
My friend was like that, they were together when they were babies but his younger twin always get sick so an Aunt who lived in the City asked if she could raised the younger twin. But the parents see to it that they see each other every month...
My older sisters are twin. And from where we live we have a beliefs that in order none of the twins get sick, they must be separated on the day of their baptism. The other one goes into other path on the way to church and the other goes the other way. That thing is very common beliefs and sure is none is sickly
I know they both had good adoptive families and grew up happy, but I can't get over the horror that adoption agencies split up identical twins for adoption ! Siblings should never be split up, and that's twice as bad when it's twins who are split up. I'm sure there was a family out there all those years ago who would have been happy to take both of them.
One was left in a basket somewhere the other was left with a street vendor. . I wonder if the street vendors were the bio family and couldn't afford to keep two ..which may be why one was left in the basket .
@@laurieudall4159 Adoption agencies split twins up as well. This is the fourth set of female Chinese twins that I have come across that have split them up. There are thousands like these two out there. It's all about money for the adoption agencies.

I understand the parallel universe feeling. I'm not a twin, but adopted. When you see a birth sibling you can't help thinking of what you would've been like growing up with them in their world yet you grew up in your own. It feels surreal imagining it.
Reading and watching all these stories makes me happy for my own childhood. Just found my father had two more sons born while he was married to my mother. Shame on him for doing that. These boys grew up without a father. One was adopted by his grandparents and the other moved across the country at a young age. I’m 62. They are both in their late 50’s. Dad is gone. They are asking about their birth father. Life could be worse for them. They might have been out in an orphanage here. Many did not survive. Even in the 1960’s.
This so deeply moved me. I lost a baby brother before I got to know him, and this just touched me. I started balling out crying out of no where. I hope he’s watching over me.
I read about brothers who had been separated at birth, then after finding each other, found that they had both become plumbers, drove the same model pickup truck, and had married women who looked alike and had the same name.

My biological sibling and I found each other through 23andMe, as well, though we are not twins and we were adopted from China. My biological sibling is about 3½ years older than me. He took the DNA test before me, so when I looked at my results, he was at the very top of my DNA relatives list, since the list was filtered by percentage of shared DNA. We met in person just recently, and though we are not twins, we look incredibly alike, we act alike, and we share a lot of things in common (e.g., interests, hobbies). It was the most incredible experience ever.
I would say it is all about survuival, this took place in Korea not US. Alot more people to feed in Korea. Alot easier to adopt out one than 2. Govt may say no to two. Interesting.

My identical twin sister and I are 33 years old. I can't imagine not growing up together! A lot of people on this thread are commenting on how these two are identical but don't look very much alike. This is actually common with identical twins. My sister and I looked so identical when we were little but as we aged we now look like we could be fraternal or even just siblings a year or two apart. This is because of epigenetics. We share %100 of our genes but we are two separate people and over time we do begin to take on characteristics that are just our own. In our face, body and voice and personality.

Im a twin but my sister died straight away after birth and i dont know i have this feeling i miss her everyday and i never met her😓 glad you found eaxh other
Identical twins have the same genome, which makes their DNA identical and features. However, the environment, what they eat, activities they do, etc. can shape and change the way they physically appear... therefore making them look slightly different physically. Fraternal twins, different eggs, different sperm, CAN sometimes look identical (for example the Olsen Twins (Mary-Kate and Ashley from "Full House)) are not "identical" twins, they are Dizygotic twins (aka faternal twins) but look identical.
Megyn, I'm a twin to a sister, thankfully although dumped and abandoned in an orphanage we were never separated and grew up together. I love you so much for covering all these wonderful Twin stories. You're the best. Thank you, keep them coming, they're intensely beautiful and incredibly special. 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤❤❤🥳
Great story. I love stories about twins. I have a twin sister. I come from a family history of twins. I was just at a nieces wedding and got a picture of all the sets of twins at the wedding
My twin sister is a pure-blooded Korean woman, born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and I am a pure-blooded Caucasian American man, born and raised in Maryland, USA, 6 years before she was, and we met by pure fate 27 years ago when she was in the USA on a student visa. Sound confusing? Unbelievable? She is a Christian, and I am an agnostic Buddhist, but we both believe we share a soul. This is a large part of the reason why this video really gets me in the heart.
Two of my brothers were adopted from South Korea in the 50's from Holt Adoption Center. One of my brothers made the journey back to where he was adopted from. It was emotional. ❤️
To be honest, that's pretty awesome how we have people like u that would love to take care of a child. We have a lot of compassionate people in America. Thank u for being one of them👍
I never saw it that way - "being compassionate". I find children full of life and a promise of a wonderful tomorrow. I have raised two of my own (biological) but can love an adopted kid as if my own. Holding a child is the best feeling ever.
I wonder if either one of them thought, 'YES! She speaks English, right on'. I saw a twin reunion show where one spoke English and the other one spoke Vietnamese.
Megan is a terrible interviewer. She keeps saying that they never knew they had a twin however when the one gal was seven she told by her adopted Mom that she had a twin. I wish Megan would get her facts straight.
I think it is so wrong to separate twins or triplets. They should be adopted together.

Amazing story, they even have same hairstyle......you can tell the difference only by the phsychological scarring on the one that was left with the street vendor, but they are so beautiful girls. Sending them blessings and good fortune. x
This is like Gracie and Audrey
imagine your meet with your tween being delayed by the commercials :))))))))))) oh,just happened? lol
I can't imagine living my whole life without my twin!!! My identical twin and I are 33!!! We would be so lost! 💔😭💔😭💔
It would definitely be weird. My twin and I were separated for several years in foster care, but we still KNEW eachother. I can't imagine meeting a stranger and suddenly having them be my twin lol
Im a twin but my sister died straight away after birth and i dont know i have this feeling i miss her everyday and i never met her😓
glad you found eaxh other
They don't look identical to me.
Matthew Kim finally nice to have someone understand. Lol. Simple research.
Matthew Kim thank you
I was saying the exact same thing.
Yeah epigenetics.
Megyn, I'm a twin to a sister, thankfully although dumped and abandoned in an orphanage we were never separated and grew up together. I love you so much for covering all these wonderful Twin stories. You're the best. Thank you, keep them coming, they're intensely beautiful and incredibly special. 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤❤❤🥳
I'm glad they finally found each other after 33 years but God bless them
wow. what a story. i had tears in my eyes. really quite sad.... i hope they stay together for the rest of their lives
Great story. I love stories about twins. I have a twin sister. I come from a family history of twins. I was just at a nieces wedding and got a picture of all the sets of twins at the wedding
This is adorable. I love this story!
They seem like two smart young woman speak well..
I have the same OCD tendencies! So crazy. The volume on my television has to be an even number and paper towels from the restroom are in 3’s.
Do you have a Virgo sun, moon or rising?
Island_Mommy
Ok I get the volume thing, but why use three paper towels instead of one? That's killing the earth!
Two of my brothers were adopted from South Korea in the 50's from Holt Adoption Center. One of my brothers made the journey back to where he was adopted from. It was emotional. ❤️
2:10 this must be the 1st case of asian student failing algebra 😂😂
A beautiful loving journey to share with the rest of the world. Thank you for lifting our spirits in this time of great turmoil for many of us.
It should be against the law to separate twins or triplets. It is so wrong.
An orphanage is not a place to stay in either.
@@ptc18 I never said that, I just said that siblings shouldn't be separated like that
So many people envy twins
because they have something most of us don't.???
I met her at the exo concert in Los Angeles in Feb 2015. I am so happy for her.
Katelynn Exo!!!!!!
I've always wanted to go to an exo concert! But they never came to where I lived 😭
@@fluffyisfluff7967 sm is pabo btw 😭
May God bless both their foster parents 🙏
What a sweet story! How nice god brought them together again 🤗
ZGwoo888 it wasn’t god it was 23 and me lol
its not "god" lmao
its the website
Did God separate them in the first case ?
It has nothing to do with God-23 & Me brought them together.
ZGwoo888 Agreed!
Being a twin I can only imagine not having all the memory’s me and my brother had.
Can someone please drop me a baby they don't want in a basket?
I am from Asia. Came here to USA in my teens. Have NO desire to ever go back. EVER.
Roopa Dudley ~ I wished that for years, since first heard it happens. I think many people think, "Give him/her to me then!"
+specialty k LMAO! And, sorry to hear that
Has anyone checked the subtitles in this video. OMG
I ignored them
I wonder if either one of them thought, 'YES!
I'm crying!!!
God bless them 33 years later you found out they have a sibling and a twin sister omg!
I think I have an identical twin who was separated at birth!!! I want to find her so badly!!! 💔
