the employees have to be around the customers when eating hotpot, as they can take orders faster that way. this always happens in fancy hot pot places. if you don't like being stared at, leave.

I use to live in Chengu and Chongqin in the Sichuan province of China, well known for their spicy food. I legit thought I was going to die eating at their hotpot restaurants but it is absolutely delicious and worth it.

My hotpot sauce combo for those really spicy soup base would be - sesame oil - mashed garlic - oyster sauce - salt - soy sauce Not a fan of corianders though.
