iCUBE AS/RS (-25° C) - Reference Video - Raporal Portugal

This video features an iCUBE automatic storage and retrieval system designed and built by Logiqs together with racking partner Ramada Storax Group for the STEC III production facility in Montijo, Portugal of meat producers: Raporal.
This iCUBE - automatic warehouse only has a footprint of 550 m2 and a height of 12,5 meter, it has a total capacity of 2.300 pallets spread out over five levels.
The total capacity of the warehouse is 3.000 tons of product and the facility has a yearly capacity of around 18.000 tons.
The project was delivered and went into operation in 2016.

Why does it need to adjust every time it picks or drops a pallet?

This is so that no empty space is left between the pallets. So the carrier needs to readjust the pallet on it's lifting frame so that the lifting frame does not hit the pallet that is already in position
