@@gamergirl7869 I think the Dahmer show was done very well. They brought life to some things that isn't talked about enough, regarding the victims and the police. The creator reached out to the families and it was their choice not to give any input.
YEAH, not impressed with his father even a little bit. The REAL victims entered his apartment and whether they left again were never the same. Will not be watching this episode
I read some online official police reports in which Dahmer said that he didn't do anything ilegal during military service and he wasn't a racist at all. However, here the story is totally different, so did Dahmer lie to detectives, lawyers, and everyone even after his arrest? I don't understand anything!!!

Racism and homophobia played a large role in how he got away with it. Cops were called numerous times *by black people*. Cops believed his excuse over the safety of a young Asian boy. Authorities did not want to go near the matters of homosexuality..
Fighting for your freedom? That's the real joke!! To free you they would have to fight your own government, the very ones soldiers kill for!! Jeffrey killed, so did Soldiers, both are monsters. Only soldiers kill men, woman and children! So who's the real monsters?
While I did not find the Dahmer series "glamorized" him - I did find they made him more sympathetic than anything before. I strongly feel that the series highlighted the issues of racism, homophobia, and the insufficient justice/correctional system. Also, Jeff was dead, so he got no satisfaction from the success of the production. Just saying - it's a slippery slope to try to demonize or "cancel" this production, instead of all the factors that went into creating a Jeff and allowing a Jeff to get away with so much.
I agree it is really traumatizing to have to revisit a horrific story about a horrific person doing horrific things. But the main point to highlight is that this cannot happen again and unfortunately nothing was done just recently google what’s been going on in Kansas. About black women going missing and cops tried to cover it up.
Exactly. While I feel for the victims families having to relive this trauma, there’s too much to learn from the story to just never talk about it again
@@freetobree5323 There are a lot of lessons to be learned. The evil and pain that Jeffrey caused. He is dead and gone. Has been for years. But the victims who survived still feel the impact every day. They can't escape. I believe her when she said she felt the evil when she was in front of Jeffrey.
Start watching around 11:56. The black guy in the cap is watching the white guy in the cap to know when it's time to take off his glasses and wipe his eyes with the hankie. Atrocious acting from all three of them.
They all have murdered wives and children in prison. And Dahmer mocked and antagonized another person on purpose to instigate his murder on purpose it wasn’t an accident
Yea racist Dahmer who was friends with and killed with a racist murderer who killed his wife and tried to say it was two black men. Which was a known thing of many whites committing crimes and pinning it on random innocent black people then blacks being hung or executed and killed for crimes they didn’t even commit.
I'm sorry but I just don't think Jeff Dahmer was doing any of his actions out of pure racism he didn't need to. half the people in his time period haven't swayed from being racist. I don't believe billy jumped out a 2 story window and I don't believe someone would take that long to recollect something that vile especially when it's happening to people around him.
The victims simply shouldn't have retraumatized themselves by watching the series. I thought it was a good series and didn't try to make Jeffery look like anything other than a monster
J. Dahmer, unlike many other serial killers was so calm during the interviews or his statement at the court. He was not arrogant or verbally argessive. There were no moments when his mask dissapeared for a moment and the truth diabolic evil was shown. Many people used to consider him as „more sick than evil”. Now new facts come to light and this whole case is so insane… If he was able to act like these men described when he was drunk and be such a racist and a sadist, and then convinsingly appear as an individual who regret his acts and say sorry for the families and all of his „camera” behaviors were only simulation, then his persona appears as even more grotesque..
Dr. Phil, I know you'll never see this comment but I'm writing it anyway. I've watched every documentary on the big serial killers that I could find. Maybe out of curiosity? I really don't know why they've fascinated me so much - my entire life! This twelve minute video, (especially at 11:55) made the biggest impact on me out of everything I've ever seen. All the others were just movies or just the news, but this made it real! For the first time in my life I actually SEE the victims and feel their pain. I watched the Netflix series on Dahmer and never even flinched. I think they've desensitized us, so thank you for doing this episode! I won't be watching anything else that glamourizes these monsters anymore! Prayers for these precious people and all of Dahmer's victims and their families and friends. Blessings from Houston. 😞
Jeffery's father Lionel should be tryed in a court of law for enabling his son to continue his murderous development unchecked / unhindered! Lionel knew exactly what his son was becoming. Lionel displays the same detachment to these grisly crimes as Jeff dose.
Psychological profile of a budding psychopath & serial killer: young male, bedwetter, fire-starter, who tortures animals . . . . . . . . . Ihad one of these in my neighbourhood! Most, if not all of my hobby farm animals were found dead or mutilated over all the 30 years I lived there. Alls the police would say, "If you don't like living in Mission, why don't you think about moving?"
Their trauma is legit understandable, but Dhamer was senteced and beaten to death decades ago. it's not like the series are literally bringing him back to life. Serial killers, real or fictionnal, have always been a fascinating/popular subject(morbid curiosity)and i think the series is a good reminder of vigilance/not trusting strangers, and of the tragic effects of ignoring early signs of mental illness
This right here is why I will never watch that horrendous movie. The victims and their families deserve peace. The fact that their attacker is being glorified makes me sick to my stomach. I can’t imagine having that trauma resurfaced just for Hollywood money. The writers should be ashamed of themselves.

Not saying none of it happened or siding with a killer but somethings aren’t adding up, the man said on his 2nd day, he jumped out a 2 story building ? And Jeff broke his pelvis? Why wasn’t this noted at the time? How can you be in the military if your pelvis broke ? If he said, Jeff murdered someone name Hans ? Which victim was he ? Because they didn’t mention a murder in the military? The black man ? How can you realize you weren’t rape ? If a man gets raped and drugged, trust and believe, you will feel your body different the nexts morning ? I’m not saying, I don’t believe these 2 men but a lot of their words and descriptions of Jeff doesn’t sound right and it some of their stories seems fabricated
This is Monsters is so new to YT but he does an AMAZING job covering all of his stories I’m happy you mentioned them! There are several other amazing channels. Annie Elise With 10 to Life should get a reward for most improved channel, and the fact that she is humbled and admits when she is wrong, she apologizes genuinely like all creators should when needed. the Misery Machine Deserves a mention as well is Grizzly True Crime and Cinema Showgun. There are just so many but those are a few. Dr. Phil should do a show and have all of these creators com on to discuss why they created these channels and to help them generate more subscribers I want to come on the show to thank them for their incredible coverage. Also big big big deals Stephanie Harlow, Kendal Rae and Danielle Hallen! Those ones have never skipped a beat, they work soooo hard for their channels
Although the stanzipotenza bit wasn't uploaded here, did show producers actually miss that the TikTok was satire, or were they using it to show that the true crime obsession was so common that it can be satirized almost as a trope? Also can we talk about how women find true crime fascinating for reasons like: • catharsis over seeing crimes being investigated and exposed when many of them may have been unable to obtain justice for themselves • solidarity with the victims • assurance that they are gathering information that may help them protect themselves from similar attacks
@@anthonycampos8057 because if no one watched it then there wouldn’t be a market for it. The victims and loved ones do not endorse the show and the least I can do is support them.

@@gamergirl7869 I think the Dahmer show was done very well. They brought life to some things that isn't talked about enough, regarding the victims and the police. The creator reached out to the families and it was their choice not to give any input.

So heartbreaking
Sad that they have to go through these painful situation & that the victims families lost their loved ones.
RIP to The Victims.
YEAH, not impressed with his father even a little bit. I've seen interviews where both parents blamed EACH OTHER with the way Jeffrey turned out totally ignoring the role their incessant arguing while he was growing up played in his developement, now he wants to go around on talk shows and play the victim? The REAL victims entered his apartment and whether they left again were never the same. Will not be watching this episode
I’m so damn sorry I swear what we go thru with this kind of treatment, rape is no joke in the military!
This is so sad. Shame on military.
I still can’t believe he got away with it for so long
I feel for this two guys 😭😭
I read some online official police reports in which Dahmer said that he didn't do anything ilegal during military service and he wasn't a racist at all. However, here the story is totally different, so did Dahmer lie to detectives, lawyers, and everyone even after his arrest? I don't understand anything!!! The more information you get, the more confusing it gets. Serial killers' mind is such a horrendous mystery. He only knew the truth, and I think he never said it all. Seeing the sister crying broke my heart ! That's real pain!
@Michael David ty for this info
Yup well these are 2 victims who’s saying what really happened to him so yes Jeffrey definitely lied and was a racist !
Rest in Heaven to all the victims 🙏🏼

What? Dr Phil himself said he watched the show.
he's not a "doctor".
For those that watched these three on here on Dr. Phil's channel - they cut over half of each one of them out! You can find all three parts on here on other channels that are 38 minutes long that explain tons of things that were cut out.

People who could have stopped it, ignored it
Racism and homophobia played a large role in how he got away with it. Cops were called numerous times *by black people*. Cops believed his excuse over the safety of a young Asian boy. Authorities did not want to go near the matters of homosexuality..
He was white and it was the 70s. No one cared about minorities, black, gay. It was privilege, that simple.
People would ask him what the awful smell was because he had body parts deteriorating in acid but he just say it’s over-spoiled meat

I agree
Exactly. While I feel for the victims families having to relive this trauma, there’s too much to learn from the story to just never talk about it again

There are a lot of lessons to be learned. First lesson is how we raise our children what environment do they grow up in, making sure that they’re honest etc. second lesson Is being aware of strangers, their intentions and their motives. A lottttt of shame, especially back then, around being gay and especially if you were black and gay. ESPECIALLY in you were in the army. The police were shocking about Dahmer as well, he was reported SO many times.
It was … the army didn’t do anything. The times were different back then around rape and even thought that men weren’t able to get raped.
Umm it was just like when women get raped in the military. They ignore it.
Men being raped or sexually assulted by other men was a big taboo at the time.
@@ashleystar4773 What?? When has it ever been OK? And he reported it. How old were you when they were in the military in 1979? What a stupid comment.

Who asked?

You and others like you are why bad people get away with such things.
Dr.Phil is doing the same thing netflix is doing, profiting/gaining off of their story
Guy talks about glamorizing him, but goes on dr. Phil which does that exactly 💯
The father is lying.
Damn I hate Jeff even more now
The victims simply shouldn't have retraumatized themselves by watching the series. I thought it was a good series and didn't try to make Jeffery look like anything other than a monster
The victim's sister Rita hugs to her. Hugs to the other victims

Jeffery's father Lionel should be tryed in a court of law for enabling his son to continue his murderous development unchecked / unhindered! Lionel knew exactly what his son was becoming. Lionel displays the same detachment to these grisly crimes as Jeff dose.

• catharsis over seeing crimes being investigated and exposed when many of them may have been unable to obtain justice for themselves
• solidarity with the victims
• assurance that they are gathering information that may help them protect themselves from similar attacks
