Balls to the wall is derived from WWII fighter pilots lingo. The throttles had round handles (balls) like a old school gear shifter and they would almost touch the instrument panel (wall) at full throttle. Hence the term "balls to the wall".

I'm from Minnesota, but I don't fish. Every winter, there are literally THOUSANDS of fish-houses on the various frozen lakes (we actually have more than 15,000 lakes in Minnesota). Virtually all of the fish-houses are occupied by (mostly married) middle-aged, beer drinking men. Several years ago a prostitution ring was busted on one of Minnesota's largest lakes (Mille Lacs). It seems these ladies knew their market well and were basically going "door to door" plying their wares. At the time of the bust their business was reported to be "booming". So you see, Bo, it ain't all about the fishing!
