They did leave a space in the choreography when possible to represent Suga. Also, small screen size people may very well be live watching Army, I know that's true for some performances but not if it's true for MMA. It's all about covid, no concerts, but BTS did broadcast live concerts.
They always ask the Big Hit company how they created BTS and they simply answer: we don't know. We are still looking for the formula. But really they did. Considering there was no audience and Covid was raging, I think they had such a good balance of unique stages but showed some restraint, due to people suffering. Don't forget to do MAMA awards too. They often do the same tracks but the stages are totally different. The ON performance for MAMA was amazing, in a stadium with the dance break.💜
this was filmed during the pandemic where everything live was cancelled. did you notice the empty space left for suga, he had just had left shoulder surgery and could not physically participate in activities. when they performed for the 2020 mama bts created a 'halogram' of suga so he could be in the song 'life goes on'. you will like the mv 'life goes on'.💜

I'm commenting this because I didn't want you to miss it. At 3:42 - 4:00, the backup dancers go into the formation of a side profile of a huge black swan, while gracefully flapping the right side wings. And then the camera pans to Jin, who the dancers are holding up. Jin's body and head are replicating the long, thin neck and head of the same black swan. 💜
Suga had underwent a shoulder sugery and was recovering. The guys left place for Suga to honour him. The way we all missed him so much. Black Swan was so elegant and beautiful plus the dance break in Dynamite was brilliant!! This was such an amazing performance.
Fun fact: The staircase scene is a re-make of a scene from their old mv for N.O with the exact same line-up (but with an empty space where Suga would've been), even down to the close-up of the boot. (You'd love that choreo as well I suspect.) But I still say you gotta watch MAMA 2020 with the full-on drumline themed performance of ON. 😉👍💜 (Oh, and that was actually Jin not Jimin in the background when you guessed with your eyes closed. 🤭 Jimin joined them right after though.) Their choreo have layers and layers.... they usually had main choreo for dance practice, but they always mix it up and alter the choreo for MV, Awards show, talk show, concert etc, depends on the venue and the length of the show... so imagine having to learn more than 2 or 3 variety of choreo for 1 song, and BTS had 300 song🤯
They often add dance breaks to their songs that aren't always in the MV. Butter has so many different dance breaks, all different, but by far the best Butter one was the Grammys imo. You should check out that one.

This Dynamite dance break and On kenitic film are why I truly believe NO other group will ever be on the same level as BTS. I mean the choreography is so freakin amazing, you can't help but get hyped at how they perform so in sync . This is one of my all time favorite award show concert (lol) I loved how they paid tribute to Michael Jackson, you can definitely tell he has been a big influence for BTS especially in this performance. If Michael Jackson was still with us, I think he would of definitely done a collaboration with BTS and it would of been award winning

Jimin's voice is what people meant when talking about having a voice of an angel. Usually, it's said for people with beautiful voices, but that's a human mistake. It's literally his voice; a mere human can't sound that way 🤣

(but you can also hear a softer Backing track with different notes...idk maybe Jimin's voice is in their part as well..but I think its onyl Jin voice..) Jin can also do high notes very well...and some people sometimes get confused with him and Jimin😊..But when Jin goes in high Notes, he's usually often the one really "belting" it, while Jimin is often in his "(also often strong) fallsetto".. BTS dance choreo are always on point. They have mastered the slow and fast transition, the right amount of movements and swag are always topnotched. Who would have thought that not all of them are dancers but they all deceived us all by looking at them when they dance...lol. 🤭🤣 the way they switched positions like the ins and outs is so smooth and clean. I have seen their other dance practice videos and I find them all unique and so tasteful. They always make it look so easy but for sure it's definitely not.

The MJ dance break in Dynamite was only done this one time. They've done about 54 'live' versions of Dynamite (all during Covid, so all had to be recorded live and aired. All are a little bit different, of course. But only this one has the dance break. There is a MMA Dynamite dance practice as well.

It comes their album BE that they released during the pandemic...because everyone was on lockdown, they did everything themselves....coming up with the design of the packaging, etc etc....each member had different roles. It is an amazing album that would have never happened without the pandemic.

OMG! Dynamite dance practice was the reason I discovered BTS- first watched the original version then got to this MMA Dynamite dance practice then I wanted to check out who was the guy in the long sleeve grey shirt (Jimin) and the guy wearing a bucket hat (JK) which eventually led me to this unending rabbit hole😂 Like you I love 2018 and 2019 MMAs but this one is my fave for the same reason, I am obviously a big MJ fan and I love that the guys paid homage to the King of pop.
It was during Covid lockdown, so all of it is prerecorded. Also, that's the reason all of the dancers were wearing masks - regular ones during ON, stylized during Black Swan. The Dynamite video definitely has some MJ moves, but it doesn't have this dance break.

This was such a great performance. The special dance break during Dynamite had me and my daughter screaming when we watched it. That dance break isn't in the actual music video. The song before that was Life Goes On, which was a song they released during the pandemic as a comfort. The words are sweet and the video is sweet. There are a few different versions. One that JK directed himself.

This was all pre-recorded because it was 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and there was no live performance or live audience which is why it seems oddly quiet. Suga was not there for this performance because he had just had shoulder surgery but if you notice they leave a gap for him in all of their choreography which they do for any member who's not able to perform at any given time.

The "MJ Tribute" dance break is not on the MV nor the regular dance practice. I'm not sure if there is a 2020 MMA Dance Practice showing it (if so, I don't remember seeing that one - only the black swan behind the scenes). Keep in mind that this Was in 2020 and Was still in the pandemic, so the ARMY you saw were the audience brought in digitally. Also, you didn't notice there were only 6 of them; Suga was out recovering from shoulder surgery. My highlight was the Black Swan dance in real water in the beginning, especially Jungkook and Jimin, but Life Goes On was wonderful too. There IS an MV for that which Jungkook directed. I really loved the entire show actually.

There are some awesome "Black Swan" out there! And so amazing that they are going so hard in "ON" and they manage not to miss a note, that is artistry. And I love the way that they left the open spot for Suga. So the heart and earth graphics are for "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal" it's the third Bulletproof and my favorite of the three. The "Life Goes On" performances are all awesome as well. And can't remember if you did "Dynamite" the MV or not, definately worth the watch. Enjoy!!

BTS dance choreo are always on point. They have mastered the slow and fast transition, the right amount of movements and swag are always topnotched. Who would have thought that not all of them are dancers but they all deceived us all by looking at them when they dance...lol. 🤭🤣 the way they switched positions like the ins and outs is so smooth and clean. I have seen their other dance practice videos and I find them all unique and so tasteful. They always make it look so easy but for sure it's definitely not.
You absolutely have to watch their practice on this. The sound of their shoes will give you such a thrill❤

This was during Covid so it was technically all prerecorded! I love that they were basically given full creative freedom with the prerecorded options!
The whole thing was pre-recorded in 2020 it was in the midst of Covid remember, no one was going anywhere, and you see that space in the On lineup, thats for Suga, he had gone to do surgery for his injured shoulder which he had endured for years .. you know their intense choreo right .. during the Covid period was the perfect time for him to get surgery done .. they couldn't do any shows or concerts 👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜

The MJ dance break in Dynamite was only done this one time. They've done about 54 'live' versions of Dynamite (all during Covid, so all had to be recorded live and aired. All are a little bit different, of course. But only this one has the dance break. There is a MMA Dynamite dance practice as well.

Thanks. Life Goes On is such a special song. It comes their album BE that they released during the pandemic...because everyone was on lockdown, they did everything themselves....coming up with the design of the packaging, etc etc....each member had different roles. It is an amazing album that would have never happened without the pandemic.

Suga suffered from a shoulder injury from an accident before his debut. At the time of 2020, Suga was not on stage because of shoulder surgery.

OMG! Dynamite dance practice was the reason I discovered BTS- first watched the original version then got to this MMA Dynamite dance practice then I wanted to check out who was the guy in the long sleeve grey shirt (Jimin) and the guy wearing a bucket hat (JK) which eventually led me to this unending rabbit hole😂
Like you I love 2018 and 2019 MMAs but this one is my fave for the same reason, I am obviously a big MJ fan and I love that the guys paid homage to the King of pop.

This was such a great performance. The special dance break during Dynamite had me and my daughter screaming when we watched it. That dance break isn't in the actual music video. The song before that was Life Goes On, which was a song they released during the pandemic as a comfort. The words are sweet and the video is sweet. There are a few different versions. One that JK directed himself.

This was all pre-recorded because it was 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and there was no live performance or live audience which is why it seems oddly quiet.
Suga was not there for this performance because he had just had shoulder surgery but if you notice they leave a gap for him in all of their choreography which they do for any member who's not able to perform at any given time.
"Life Goes On" MV was directed by Jungkook...It really got me through the pre vaccine portion of Covid...I was terrified...and my BTS concert got cancelled 2 weeks before the date
The "MJ Tribute" dance break is not on the MV nor the regular dance practice. I'm not sure if there is a 2020 MMA Dance Practice showing it (if so, I don't remember seeing that one - only the black swan behind the scenes). Keep in mind that this Was in 2020 and Was still in the pandemic, so the ARMY you saw were the audience brought in digitally. Also, you didn't notice there were only 6 of them; Suga was out recovering from shoulder surgery. My highlight was the Black Swan dance in real water in the beginning, especially Jungkook and Jimin, but Life Goes On was wonderful too. There IS an MV for that which Jungkook directed. I really loved the entire show actually.
No this was not in the Dynamite MV, it was a surprise for us, too! There is a dance practice for the dance break version as well as (I think) 2 for the regular version 💜
There are some awesome "Black Swan" out there! And so amazing that they are going so hard in "ON" and they manage not to miss a note, that is artistry. And I love the way that they left the open spot for Suga. So the heart and earth graphics are for "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal" it's the third Bulletproof and my favorite of the three. The "Life Goes On" performances are all awesome as well. And can't remember if you did "Dynamite" the MV or not, definately worth the watch. Enjoy!!
