Father's side of the family lived in Weston Mill, Northumberland Street - I'd come up with the family and stay over for a week or two over the summer, or spend a week at the caravan site at Stoke beach from about 1975 up to 1994
Born and breed in Plymouth... grew up in the 80’s and 90’s... moved away about 7 years ago... love my home city and miss it at times, but as far as opportunities go for young professionals there’s not a lot around in Plymouth.. everything seems to stop when the A38 starts

I lived in plymouth for about 2 years when I was 10-12 years old.. My dad also studied at the university.. Really really miss the city.. Sad can't afford to go there again.. Only in my sleep 😅.. Hopefully someday

Disappointing review for me. I'm not local but have worked in Plymouth and it's steeped in history and geographical features - Tamar river (world heritage), historical naval dock and associated buildings which are beautiful. Drakes Island and the Hoe are UK landmarks. Perhaps local redevelopment has meant it's lost it's charm and character and the architecture of the university does nothing for me - no doubt it will have been demolished and redeveloped in another 50 years - it does nothing to enhance the city, sorry. I disagree with some of the negative comments below though, but felt this video did not do Plymouth justice as a place to visit, there's so much more - particularly as a boating and sailing centre. Being sponsored by the University some drone footage would have been desirable and would have made the video far more interesting and insightful.
