@@yvonnemurray5537 the government came to help. They (the US government) have effectively been paying people to stay home from work. That's got to stop eventually. At the same time it's been illegal for landlords to evict tenants. People as you might expect have stopped paying rent (not everyone, but enough to matter.) The moratorium (mandated temporary stoppage) on evictions also will end eventually, supposedly. So as we speak there is a train crash waiting to happen. Add to that the over 500,000 migrants we have let in across the Southern border (whether it's good or bad, you decide) since the spring started. However many of those migrants that are adults will be looking for a job, right at the same time that the people were at home during the pandemic. They also will need housing. Another train down coming the tracks.
There are so many employers who NEED employees!! Why are they getting kicked out if they can get a job & pay rent/mortgage?? CA employers are trying to pay MORE to get their employees back.

@@allmyragejones1 i totally agree with you! Id rather be homeless than have to live without my dog. I would never in a million years dream of abandoning my animals and making them fend for themselves. Animals have thoughts, emotions and feelings. I have seen horrible videos of people stopping their cars and making a dog get out and then they drive off. It hurts my heart knowing that the dog just hangs around waiting for their people to return. They dont understand why but they feel the sadness when their humans dont come back. Im tearing up right now thinking about it.
@@susanmercurio1060 stupidest comment ever. Shelters take pets. People aren't hopeless and homeless due to the pandemic. They are getting paid to stay home. Tons of jobs available. Idiots adopted animals when they were stuck at home and now are returning them to shelters or abandoning them.
You could tell she’s one spoiled baby. Good for Sunny having found a forever home.
Sunny is a sweetheart I’m glad she is safe now ❤️
I was looking for a rescue dog and many shelters told me that some people GOT dogs during the pandemic, to have company, love, etc. Ok, then some might have discarded them after or found dog ownership was just too hard. ugh. Think before you rehome a pet or get one. Thanks to HFP many get their 2nd chance !!! YAY
Chihuahuas can be very picky eaters at times ! I have raised 6 of them and now have two left . The other 4 have done passed over to Rainbow Bridge Park
I love this dog❤️

How can anyone leave their pet? Blows my mind!
they were never meant to have one if they do that. They don't deserve one either.
Heartless
People, please donate ANY amount to help or buy a toy. I have been a PROUD supporter for many years and can promise you that your gifts go to rescuing and healing these abandoned animals and nothing else. God bless you Eldad and all your volunteers and fosters and medical staff.
Excellent outcome. Thank you. 😍
Abandoning animals should be a federal offense with mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison.
What a sweetie. Thanks for the rescue!

Sadly as more and more people lose their houses do to people being kicked out this is going to be more common 😭
Im sorry but id rather be homeless than have to live without my dog.
I see homeless people that never abandon their pets, but others just the first sign of a little problem do not have the strength to be with them in good and bad times.
Why do you think more and more people are losing their homes? I don’t think that’s true. 2008, yes.
Lets take a moment to appreciate how welcoming the owner of the house was to everyone (dog and rescue team)
