Oh thank you! In the end I opted to let my babies out in a fence, because I tried several times to let them walk around in the rooms and they are very good, they almost never gnawed on anything. The problem is that since they are animals that get scared very very easily, as soon as they heard the slightest noise they would start running all over the place without seeing what they had in front of them and very often they would crash into objects. So for their safety in the end I opted for a fence. Maybe your babies are less scared than mine :')
My goos would chew there way out of those panels in a heartbeat😂 I have them for my rats and they’re always going for them I have to hide them when they’re out😂
Do the degus get out of the play pen? My 17 years old daughter was gifted a degu and we are trying to create the safest easily sustainable environment for him.
@@grabak6668 We now have two. The first one, Qbert, was found alone at a pet store. It took a few months to find another one. They are not common in this area. We finally found another one, Ronan, at an animal rescue two hours away. Unfortunately, the first one will not accept him. We have tried multiple times in multiple locations over the past five months. They are ok for about 20 minutes, then Qbert gets too violent. So, now they are in separate cages. I keep their cages against each other so they can talk to one another. I get them out every day.

hiya, long story short, we have a spare cage (almost a black version of yours) and can’t find an animal for it! I was wondering could degus go in just that? and do you know if it’s okay for ferrets, or have any recommendations
My degus are doing very well in this cage, I have two cages like this and there are two degus in each one. However, in my opinion, for them, the best thing would be to have a large terrarium, because you can better reconstruct a more "natural" environment. I think, for example, two rats would fit nicely in this cage. Maybe for a ferret it's a bit small, but if it spends more time outside the cage I think there's no problem :)

Love this set up! I would love to do the Set up if I still had my 2 beautiful angels 😇 but they are no longer with me and crossed the rainbow bridge 😢

@@cocothedegu5361 Bribery will get you everywhere. When floor time is over, I shake the treat bag and 99% of the time they go back in the cage.
I have the fence, but the more assertive of the two can jump high. If I put screens over the top he figures out how to push the corner aside.

I think it's not possible to have a cage medium/small. They need a lot of space, also mine it is not enough
