The fire is back and it’s now worth watching the greatest spectacle of sport in this country, finally! If one team keeps winning, it’s not actually good for the sport. People won’t watch and will lose interest after a while. So the good News! State of origin is back! I luv QLD! But luv to hate you, when we play state of origin. And then we have a beer after the game. That is why this game is great! Mate versus mate. Most importantly, every one of those boys out there, respect each other and their opposition. It’s the next best thing from playing for the green and gold! Just look at these guys here. No rubbish talking respectively about their team and the opposition. This is why Wally and Co must stay in the arena. There is much to teach.
These boys demystified the Queensland spirit. Madge picked a squad to control the ruck and Queensland didn’t have the gas to fight back in the end. Great game plan and series win 🩵

That was a Freddy level blunder by Billy leaving Fifita out, but Tino is the man you need assuming next year Blues are going to have Haas, Barnett, Leniu, Yeo and Murray, Tino needs to take them all on, he will have his work cut out for him. I'm an old Queenlander living in NSW. It's good to listen to some decent commentary without all the crap that is in some sports shows, particularly south of the border.
It was a tough game. I got bruises just from watch on TV. I thought right from the start QLD were putting in a big effort in defence & I thought they need to pace themselves a bit as it's an 80 minute game. NSW had a lot of Penrith & ex Penrith players who outlast other teams. That's why the got last years Grand Final in the last 10 minutes. You have to play the long game. There is always next year, that's what NSW were saying for several series in a row.

Best reminds me of Fifita. We were lacking to make the Blues work over time. Size matters up front to gain that extra yards and we were made to work extra hard for it. They had the luxery of moving the ball quickly to complete their set. You could literally throw a blanket on our boys for not doing the one % ers. Origin at it's best-like this one- is different from rugby league as it is normally played. To see half the defensive team regularly around the ball-carrier is only ever seen in the early part of a normal game. But the Blues were too strong. The Blues gained far more respect from this win than they did from the previous one.Better than Christmas.
QLD players missing is a ruse. NSW had lattrel, Cleary and turbo missing. If it wasn’t for NSW loosing a player 7mins into game 1, it would have been a sweep.
Walsh proved he can't swim with the sharks, ponga to fullback from now. Cherry Evans long kicking game isn't good enough and his forced line drop out attempts were schoolboy.
QLD need to be honest because that was not a good performance. How could not scoring a single try be considered a good performance? I think they went there thinking they had it in the bag and forgot to actually play.
