I find that KDK continuing to use the old hook and pulley installation less than desirable when they could have designed a proper bracket to fix the fan firmly in place to the ceiling. Do you fix potential wobbling issues by swapping the blades back and forth between the slots or simply "stabilize" it with the canopy fairings?
Just need to tighten the bolt until the metal plates bend inwards and the fan firmly grips the hook doesn't sway around on the bracket. These newer models are already quite well balanced from the factory. The hook system is more universal and makes changing out the fan easier, especially for false ceilings.
The light is troublesome as the fan will not memorize our last preffered light mode. So we need to adjust the lighting everytime we switch on the fan. So i just turn off the light and only use the fan.
